The snow is falling heavily, and the weather is getting even colder. Shu Yu is sowhat worried about Granny Fang.
Speaking of which, when she went to the dical clinic this morning, she didn’t see her.
These days had been too busy, and today was the first opportunity she had to visit the clinic. For now, she could only put aside the matter of Granny Fang being her grandaunt.
When ng Pei let Shu Yu and the others get in the carriage first, they slowly drove the carriage straight to the Mi Family Clinic.
By the ti Shu Yu and the others arrived, Doctor Mi was standing at the door, looking worriedly at the snowy weather.
Shu Yu jumped off the carriage, "Doctor Mi, what are you doing?"
"It’s snowing, and I’m afraid the number of patients is going to increase again in the coming days." Indeed, the slippery roads had resulted in fewer people venturing out.
But the problem is, there had been mountain bandit trouble around the county town so ti ago, causing most people to hesitate to leave their hos.
Now that they can travel freely, people naturally want to go out quickly to find work. A little snowy weather is no big deal; just be careful. It surely can’t be worse than running into mountain bandits, right?
As such, naturally, more people ended up with sprains and frostbite.
Doctor Mi’s current worry is that the clinic is running low on dicine. Since the chaotic night of the mountain bandits, the county town has been sealed off for nearly twenty days. Originally, he should have acquired new dicine supplies two weeks ago.
Doctor Mi sighed, shook his head, and, upon learning that ng Pei was there to fetch Uncle ng, nodded and led them inside.
As they walked, he explained so precautions, which ng Pei carefully noted down.
"It’s good that you ca today. If more patients arrive in the coming days, it will inevitably disturb his recuperation. If he accidentally bumps into sothing, it would be terrible. It’s best to take him ho while the roads are relatively clear. He’s doing fine now, and if any issues arise, I’ll visit the ng family to check on him."
"Thank you." ng Pei slightly bowed and entered the house with Xia Yan.
Uncle ng needed to freshen up, and so personal items in the room required organizing, so Shu Yu and Ying Xi couldn’t go in.
While ng Pei and Xia Yan were tidying up inside, Shu Yu went to Granny Fang’s room to find her.
She knocked for quite a while without seeing anyone, when the pharmacist busy preparing dicine in the back courtyard saw Shu Yu knocking and quickly stepped forward, saying, "Lady Lu, Granny Fang has left."
Shu Yu was taken aback, "Left? Where did she go?"
With the town closed off, and the village unreachable, where could she have gone?
The pharmacist replied, "Brother Ah Gui, who’s been helping out at the county office, ca back yesterday morning and took Granny Fang to the county office. From what I heard from Brother Ah Gui, his injuries are mostly healed, and he spends most of his ti at the county office these days. He’s only been back for one night in all these days, and that was because Doctor Mi asked him to co back for a change of dressing. Since he no longer needs to stay at the clinic, it is not appropriate for Granny Fang to stay here alone. There happens to be a shortage of hands at the county office, so Brother Ah Gui sought approval from Lord to have Granny Fang help out over there."
Shu Yu’s eyes widened slightly, and the pharmacist spoke enviously, "Brother Ah Gui is quite capable indeed."
"Ahem, what is it, do you feel wronged working for ?" Doctor Mi suddenly appeared from sowhere, glaring at the pharmacist.
The pharmacist shrank his neck, took a small step back, and murmured to Shu Yu, "Doctor Mi complains that our cooking skills are too poor. These days, with Granny Fang helping in the kitchen, he was particularly satisfied with his als. Now that Granny Fang has left, he has to put up with eating our pig food again."
