Later that night, Sun Jiaming held Gu’er in his arms. She blushed faintly. They had been married for ten days now, and while she had relaxed considerably, she was still a bit shy.
Sun Jiaming’s hand wandered over Gu’er’s body.
"Um... ah, Brother Jia Ming... I... my great-aunt is visiting."
Gu’er lowered her head and stamred.
"Great-aunt? When did she arrive? How co you’ve never told you had a great-aunt? Where is she from? When did she get here? Should we buy sothing and go visit her tomorrow?"
Sun Jiaming had never heard Gu’er ntion a great-aunt before. But Gu’er’s relatives were his relatives now, and as juniors, they should pay her a visit.
Gu’er’s eyes went wide. She stared at Sun Jiaming in astonishnt. ’What is he talking about? Buy a gift and go visit? He actually thinks my real great-aunt is here!’
Gu’er couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Only then did she rember that people in this era didn’t call it "great-aunt." What was it they called it? "Her monthlies," or maybe "getting her period."
Gu’er whispered an explanation in his ear. Sun Jiaming’s face turned bright red, realizing his blunder.
"Why would you call it that? When you said your great-aunt was visiting, I really thought... How could a great-aunt have anything to do with... that? It’s so strange, isn’t it?"
Sun Jiaming couldn’t quite wrap his head around such a term.
Gu’er didn’t understand it either. It wasn’t like she invented the term; it was just what everyone called it later on. So she couldn’t explain it to him.
"Anyway, you have to behave tonight. No ssing with ."
Since Gu’er couldn’t explain it, she didn’t bother trying.
"Alright, alright. I won’t ss with you. But I can still kiss you, right?"
He said, leaning in to kiss her.
They were newlyweds, and Sun Jiaming was a young man full of passion. With Gu’er lying beside him, how could he possibly control himself? He was already aroused. But he knew that he couldn’t be with her while she was like this.
Sun Jiaming took her small hand and placed it on that spot. Gu’er felt its searing heat.
"Gu’er, help out."
Sun Jiaming whispered, his hot breath tickling her ear.
"I... I don’t know how."
’Gu’er felt a surge of panic. Honestly, even though she had lived a full life, borne children, and even beco a grandmother, she had never done sothing like this. In the past with Zhang Da, he had always forced himself on her. She would just close her eyes and endure the pain. They never tried any other positions; she had never been the one to take any action. Now that Sun Jiaming was asking her to help him, she truly had no idea what to do.’
"Just move your hand... like this."
Sun Jiaming held her hand, guiding it gently.
Swallowing her shyness, Gu’er slowly began to move her hand. She didn’t know if he was enjoying it, but she could feel his breath growing ragged.
Gradually, she picked up her pace, and Sun Jiaming’s breathing grew even more labored.
’Maybe I should go a little faster? That way, Sun Jiaming can find his release sooner.’
As she thought this, she inadvertently applied more pressure. Perhaps it was too much, because she heard Sun Jiaming hiss sharply.
"I’m sorry, did I hurt you?"
Gu’er asked quickly. She couldn’t help but glance down, but with the lights off, it was pitch-black and she couldn’t see a thing. Her hand, however, began to move gently, as if to soothe him.
"I’m fine, I’m fine. Just a little gentler... Mmm, just like that."
Gu’er had indeed hurt him, but he couldn’t bla her. She was inexperienced. Besides, what she was doing now felt incredibly good.
"Mhm."
Gu’er nodded and continued moving her hand gently. She felt bad for hurting him. After a mont’s thought, she began to kiss him as her hand kept moving.
Sun Jiaming hadn’t expected her to be so forward. A wave of heat rushed to his head. He pulled her tight, returning her kiss passionately, and it wasn’t long before he reached his peak.
Gu’er felt the stickiness, but she didn’t feel disgusted at all. ’Maybe it’s because it’s from Sun Jiaming,’ she thought, ’because I love this man.’
"I’ll go get so water."
Gu’er shifted in his arms.
"I’ll go."
Sun Jiaming said, dipping his head to give her a quick kiss. He then rolled out of bed, switched on the light, and brought over a basin of warm water for her to wash her hands. Once she was finished, he cleaned himself up and climbed back into bed.
"Jia Ming, there’s so much going on with my family. We just got married, and it’s already one thing after another... Are you getting tired of it? Do you regret marrying ?"
Lying in Sun Jiaming’s arms, Gu’er tilted her head back to look at him. She could see his chin clearly; it was smooth, without a hint of blue-black stubble.
’Gu’er gently placed her hand on Sun Jiaming’s cheek. Ever since she t him, he had been there. He was there when she escaped the Zhou family and returned to the Lin Family. Back then, her mother hadn’t liked him, so he never even set foot in the Lin Family’s ho. When she went out to earn money, he always supported her, taking care of things at ho. Later, when Li Hua was hospitalized, he helped her with the caregiving. Now, they were finally married, but her uncle’s family had caused that huge scene, and now there was this ss with her paternal aunt to deal with... She wondered if he was getting tired of it all. If he had never t her, if he hadn’t turned down Zhou i and had married so other girl from the village, wouldn’t his life be so much easier?’
"Why would you suddenly ask that? How could I ever get tired of it, or regret it? Every family has relatives like that. You know what my mother is like, not to ntion my sister-in-law. The reason I never complained about them to you is because I see us as a single unit. No matter what we encounter, it’s sothing for the two of us to face. We’ll talk it over, solve it, and endure it together. Through all the storms and all the sweet tis, we’ll support each other until we’re old. I can’t make many promises in this life, Gu’er, but I can promise this: I will always be good to you, and I will never be unfaithful. As long as I’m alive, no matter what happens, no matter how big the trouble, I will always stand by your side."
Sun Jiaming said, stroking her hair.
Gu’er snuggled deeper into his embrace, pressing herself even closer against him.
"Jia Ming, I’ll be with you for the rest of my life, too. As long as I’m with you, no matter what kind of life we have, I’ll feel at peace. I’ll feel happy."
Gu’er was speaking from the heart.
Sun Jiaming kissed her on the forehead, his eyes filled with deep affection. He believed in his Gu’er, because he felt the exact sa way she did. As long as he was with her, any kind of life would be a good one.
"So... how about you help out one more ti?"
Looking at Gu’er’s face, Sun Jiaming felt another wave of desire.
"No way. I want to sleep."
Gu’er lightly smacked his side. ’She didn’t know where this man got so much energy. Since they’d gotten married, he hadn’t let her off the hook for a single day. Twice a night was the bare minimum.’
"Haha, alright, alright. We’ll sleep."
Sun Jiaming laughed, then wrapped his arms around Gu’er, and the two of them slowly drifted off to sleep.
