Luigi suddenly found Lore more of a handful than usual.

In the end, he gave in with a sigh.

“Have it your way. I only said that because it’s a waste for two powerhouses like us to stick together.”

With that, Luigi lifted his right foot, ready to charge toward a newly locked target.

“Waste? You call this a waste? Have you killed more enemies than I have? If you’re really stronger than , then why are you backing down now?”

Luigi froze mid-step, shooting Lore a silent, exasperated glance.

“......If that’s how you want it, then let’s settle this with a contest.”

His aura flared to life in an instant, his eyes sharpening with resolve.

SWOOSH——!

He vanished in a blur, reappearing amidst a cluster of Rank B Demonic Beasts.

“SLASH——!”

A flash of sword light cut through the air, gone in the blink of an eye.

SPLAT——!

A spray of blood erupted outward.

The demonic beasts’ bodies shattered into pieces simultaneously, falling to the ground in a rain of gore.

“Heh~.”

Witnessing this scene, Lore’s eyes blazed with fierce fighting spirit.

“I’ll make you admit defeat once and for all!”

HUM!

A colossal magic array unfurled above her head, its runes glowing with a brilliant blue light.

SWISH! SWISH! SWISH......

Countless high-speed water bullets streaked forth, piercing through the air like a hail of arrows.

Every demonic beast in the vicinity—whether Rank B or lower—was riddled with holes, collapsing to the ground in a heap.

“Looks like I’ve won this round~.”

“Too soon to celebrate. You’ve got a long way to go.”

SPARK——!

The two glared at each other, sparks flying between their eyes. Their auras collided invisibly, clashing countless tis in the air.

THUD!

A tremor like an earthquake shook the ground, interrupting their standoff.

Both of their expressions shifted, their gazes snapping toward a single direction.

There,

a colossal demonic beast—towering like a mobile mountain—fixed them with a cold, indifferent stare.

“......Hey, you annoying pest. You gonna take this one on?”

Luigi sighed silently, tightening his grip on his sword with both hands.

“Even if we wanted to run now, it wouldn’t be that easy.”

“You’re telling . We might actually die this ti.”

Lore replied, her voice deceptively calm—but her knuckles were white with the effort of clutching her wand tightly.

The Rank A Demonic Beast watched them impassively, slowly lifting one of its massive forelegs, ready to strike.

Just as the battle between them was about to erupt——

A demonic beast’s corpse ca hurtling through the air at breakneck speed, slamming directly into the Rank A Demonic Beast’s face.

ROAR?!

The beast, which had been on the verge of attacking, was forced to abort its strike by this sudden ambush. It shook its head violently, trying to clear the blood from its eyes.

As Luigi and Lore stared at the scene in astonishnt,

the sound of footsteps echoed behind them, completely out of the blue.

A man stood there casually, a sword slung over his shoulder.

“Oi, you two. Didn’t I teach you to pick your fights wisely? If you can’t beat ’em, you run—imdiately.”

“Senior Brother Monroe!”

“Ugh, it’s the drunkard!”

Luigi and Lore both stared in shock at Monroe, who had appeared behind them without a sound.

“Hey, you little brat!”

Monroe protested loudly,

“I’ll let that slide this ti because of Luigi. But don’t you dare call your elders nas like that again!”

“Hah?! Why should I hold back because of this mutt?!”

“Indeed, Senior Brother. Please don’t lump in with her.”

“Ugh~! I don’t have ti to bicker with you two! This is getting ridiculous! Get back—now! I’m about to cut loose!”

With that, Monroe wrapped his hand around the hilt of the sword at his waist, flicking his wrist casually. The scabbard fell away, revealing the sharp blade within—one that crackled with an overwhelming aura.

THUD!

At that mont, the Rank A Demonic Beast finally recovered its senses. It fixed the culprit who had ambushed it with a glare of pure rage.

ROAR——!

It let out a deafening roar, its voice shaking the very air.

SWOOSH——!

Before its roar even faded, the beast saw a flash of light streak before its eyes. A searing pain erupted from one of its forelegs an instant later.

ROAR——?

The roar turned into a cry of agonizing pain.

The beast stumbled, its body swaying unsteadily. It stared at its foreleg—severed cleanly at the joint—its eyes filling with shock, confusion, and unbridled hatred.

It lifted its head, locking onto Monroe. It opened its maw, and a terrifying surge of magical power began to gather deep in its throat, preparing to unleash a devastating attack.

Monroe watched the scene calmly, raising his sword once more.

anwhile, Luigi and Lore retreated quickly, clearing a path for Monroe to fight......

On the northern battlefield.

BOOM!

Yuris hovered high above the ground, four Flywheel Grimoires spinning around him. Each grimoire was surrounded by a terrifying tornado, and any creature caught in the vortex was torn to shreds instantly, reduced to a cloud of blood mist.

Not far from him.

“Final Annihilation Ray!”

A dazzling beam of light engulfed a Rank A Demonic Beast from head to toe.

ROAR——

In a cry of agony, the beast’s body began to burn away, dissolving into ash bit by bit.

“Earthshatter!”

BOOM——!

The ground split open violently, a massive chasm stretching hundreds of ters across the plain. Countless demonic beasts—including another Rank A—plumted into the abyss, their screams echoing into the void.

“Hey, you perverted creep! That’s the Final Purification Ray! Don’t go making up stupid nas for it! Are you trying to be so kind of edgy villain or sothing?!”

“I’ll call it whatever I want!”

Uno shot Liz Val a glare, then fired another Final Purification Ray at the dying Rank A Demonic Beast, finishing it off.

“......You really are out of your mind.”

Liz Val muttered under her breath, lifting her massive battle axe with one hand once again.

In the next heartbeat.

THUD!

She pushed off the ground with a powerful leap, soaring into the air. Her body spun rapidly, gathering montum.

“HYAH——!”

BOOM!

The chasm on the ground yawned wider, its depth increasing by several ters......

Outside the southern city walls.

Snook streaked across the battlefield like a shooting star, his speed unmatched. Everywhere he went, demonic beasts fell like wheat before a scythe, cut down with effortless ease.

He had no intention of engaging the Rank A Demonic Beasts head-on. Instead, he used his speed to his advantage, darting around the battlefield and whittling down his opponents’ strength with constant, hit-and-run attacks.

Not far from him, Dimik’s fighting style was completely different.

Dimik’s hands morphed into clawed talons, scales sprouting across his body. His teeth sharpened into fangs, and gouts of fla erupted from his throat from ti to ti.

On him, the physical gap between humans and demonic beasts seed to vanish entirely. He swung his scaled fists relentlessly, trading blows with the demonic beasts in a brutal, close-quarters brawl.

And the kicker? In this contest of brute strength, the Rank A Demonic Beasts—supposedly superior in physical power—were actually on the losing end.

As the adventurers were locked in a brutal, desperate battle against the demonic horde attacking Bongisto,

sowhere to the south.

Karimal stared at the distant city on the horizon, a cruel smirk playing on his lips.

“Hehehe~. Splitting your forces to defend against attacks from all directions, are you? Then allow to add a little more spice to your little ga.”

A surge of magical power rippled outward from his body, shaking the very air.

The demonic beasts that sensed this power froze in their tracks, then began to change direction in unison......

On the western battlefield.

BOOM! BOOM......

Hulim Heyerar hovered high above the ground, her figure bathed in lightning.

Countless bolts of lightning rained down from around her, striking the ground below.

Demonic beasts were reduced to charred husks left and right, their bodies crumbling to ash under the relentless onslaught. The flying demonic beasts hovered far away, hesitant to approach—this sea of lightning had beco their forbidden zone.

But just because they dared not co to her,

didn’t an she wouldn’t bring the lightning to them.
