"You said that it takes over 2 hours?"
Reinhardt extended five of his fingers towards her, "Give minutes tops, we will reach there".
"How is that even possible?" Just as she questioned that, from the corner of her eyes, she saw Reinhardt opening the window. Imdiately, she had a bad feeling.
"Kyaaaaa~... Noooo, not this again," lissa shouted out, now in Reinhardt’s arms as they flew through the air.
A faint sweet scent drifted into his nose, a fragrance from her new soap as the woman tightly clung onto him. Her big breasts and other soft parts squished against his body, giving him a wonderful feeling.
Whoosh... they continued to jump through the sky for over a minute. Faintly, lissa opened her eyes to peek where they were.
"You are finally willing to open your eyes, huh?" Seeing his perfect, almost divine face so near, she blushed and looked away.
"It’s not so bad when you get used to it, you know. Gather your courage and try looking down at the city below, at that ti you will realise how small your troubles are compared to the vastness of the world."
On his insistence, she finally gathered her courage and looked. Though her body did beco jelly, lting against Reinhardt, her eyes opened wide at the beautiful scenery.
The high clouds, the tall mountains in the distance, the grassy fields, and the small structures that looked like the new houses they were building in their city. Everything looked so srising that she could just look at it for a while in a daze.
"Do knights always get to see scenes like this?" She asked.
Seeing her in a daze like that, Reinhardt grinned.
"Of course not. We knights don’t live in such a soft world. It’s just a part of the many things we are trying to protect".
lissa glanced at Reinhardt’s face as the wind brushed his golden mane like hair, causing her to beco absolutely srised. Even without his divine traits and skills, his body possessed the natural handsoness that only a limited number of people in this world could match.
In short, he was a man who could make any woman fall in love with him.
Arriving at the outer gate took less than five minutes. When they were at their destination, Reinhardt slowly dropped the woman in his embrace to the ground.
"Ahem." lissa hurriedly fixed her clothes, hair, and jacket whose mouth had opened to reveal a little too much. After she was finished getting her dress straight, the two of them arrived at their destination.
"Oh, the Governor and his secretary is here," the construction workers called out.
Naturally, they were all in good mood because they were being paid well for their jobs. As the governor of the city who gave them this opportunity, they were only grateful to him.
The leader stepped forward, showering them with praise a little at first before briefing them about the plan.
"Hm, good. This works. Start working on it imdiately".
"Yes, my Lord," the leader bowed before taking his leave.
Reinahrdt and lissa stood there watching them work for a while. The construction workers used various tools and strategies to bring down the wall without causing any damage to the surroundings.
Seeing them work, he could help but muse out loud "To think that you would need such detailed planning to bring down a wall. The last ti I brought down one, I did with just force and no plans".
"Fufu," Hearing his musings, lissa chuckled, "Well, if everyone was like you, who can bring down a rampart on his own, we wouldn’t have to fear the demons anymore".
"Well, wouldn’t that be sothing?" Reinhardt too laughed.
After observing that the demolition of the wall was going all right. The two of them made their way back to the mansion. On the way, they stopped at a couple of new shops that had opened and tried their products.
Reinhardt would tease her sotis, causing the beauty to pout and blush. It was not just today, for the past month, every ti they went out for a stroll or monitored the city, they would stop at a number of establishnts.
Sotis buying new things, other tis just browsing the shop like they were doing right now.
"Is there a need for such a thing in my office?"
"Of course, decorations set the mood. An office room needs to have an atmosphere of one," lissa said, holding a cute little photo fra in her hand.
This ti it was a photo fra, the last ti a clock, and the day before that it was a small globe made of quartz. Most of the things she bought had no practical value other than their aesthetics.
By now, lissa had filled his office room with her taste. Now it looked quite classy and stately.
Seeing her hold the fra tight to her ample bosom until her bra popped out, Reinhardt sighed.
"Alright, if you think this is necessary, then buy it".
"Hehe, thank you, governor. Excuse owner, pack this for us," lissa waltzed towards the counter.
To the observing eyes, it looked like the two were on a date, and even Reinhardt thought so at first. However, his secretary reasoned that it was necessary for the governor of a new city to show his face around the erging market every now and then.
That is how one fosters trust and loyalty with their populace. Also, buying souvenirs or goods from local artisans stimulates comrce, they feel valued, and word spreads.
Not only that, but markets are the heartbeat of a city. By walking among them, the governor can hear real concerns, rumors, and hopes. It’s a form of passive intelligence gathering.
Faced with her ironclad reasons, Reinahrdt had nothing to say. Now that he thought about it, he recalled his father, Raymond used to do the sa thing too.
From the body’s mories, he recalled that the Duke used to walk around the city browsing at things and making small conversation with them.
