Seeing his expression and noticing his words that were phrased in the past tense, Delicia arched her brows.
"What does Lord Reinhardt an by regret?"
"Hm? You don’t know? The order of the Silver Shields were all wiped out during one of the missions that went wrong four years ago".
The truth sounded like a bolt of thunder out of the blue in the wife’s heart, causing her expression to beco pale. If it was four years ago, that was just around the ti she retired from the knight order and ca to a remote village where she found Karl and married him.
Even though she was no longer a mber of the knight order, the Silver Shield was a place that nurtured her and was like her foster family. Hearing the news about them getting all annihilated would of course, shock her.
Karl looked at his wife in concern while Reinhardt gave her so ti to compose herself.
"I am fine now. Lord Reinhardt, why did you suddenly ask about my previous knight order?"
At that question from Delicia, he replied bluntly without beating any bush. "It’s because there is still potential in you. As a Level 10 knight, I can easily see what kind of training the person has done, the way they fight, and a little bit about their skill just looking at their body".
This was bullshit; he just used his [Eyes of Divine Clarity] to peek into her status. However, thanks to that, he was able to see an interesting piece.
"While treating you, I was able to see that your body’s disposition is more towards holy attribute rather than earth. What I am trying to say is that, why not try to aim for becoming a knight again?"
At those words, Delicia’s eyes opened wide and her body trembled intensely. The words that she wanted to hear the most, the words that she thought she would never hear again, her dream, her ambition, the years of effort she put in... it was all to beco a knight and protect the kingdom. It was her dream and still is.
While his wife was processing the information, the husband stood up and slamd the desk.
"Lord Governor, with all respects, how can you say those words to her? You of all people should know how grievously injured she is".
At this display, lissa who was suppressing the quivering of her body, flared.
"Village chief, behave yourself. The person you are talking to is the Governor of the city and one of the three legendary heroes of the kingdom".
When put it like that, Karl realised his mistake and hurriedly apologised. In the heat of the mont, he forgot who the other party was and how much he had helped him.
"I know you are concerned about your wife. However, shouldn’t you ask what she wants and respect her wishes?"
Karl looked at his wife, who seed extrely flustered after hearing those words.
"I-Is it really possible for to beco a knight again?" The latter asked with half hope and half pleading in her voice.
"While your stats have degraded and need to be trained again, there is potential that you might be able to reach your previous level, no, even exceed it. That is, if you follow my training regi".
His words almost sounded like...
"Lord Reinhardt, are you perhaps trying to say that I should join your Order of the Temple of Light?"
"That’s right" he did not like to equivocate things and directly got to the point "I’m not trying to say it, but rather saying it, join my Temple of Light, Delicia. We can use a person like you with the potential of a high ranking knight".
High ranking knight, it need not even be ntioned how big of a praise that was. Beings who have stepped well and beyond the realms of superhuman. She could not believe that she had such potential lying within her.
However, those words were spoken by a level 10 hero, it got to be true. There was no need to even think anymore, her wildly beating heart and the excitent rushing through her veins was proof enough that she still wanted to be a knight.
"In that case, I will join; no, please let join your knight order." She made her decision.
"Delicia, what are you saying? Think about it again. Even if it’s as the Governor says, it’s possible for you to get completely healed and beco like how you used to be before. However, have you forgotten the pain and despair you felt when you had to retire due to your injuries?"
Karl suddenly spoke from the side, against her idea of joining a knight order.
"What are you saying, Karl? You of all people should know how much I want to beco a knight. My whole life, I have trained for it. It has been my goal and dream. Are you trying to stop from fulfilling my dream that had already been shattered once?" Delicia looked at her husband, her mood soiled.
"That’s not what I am saying. I just want.."
"It does not matter what you want. I have already made my decision to follow my dreams". The couple started bickering all of a sudden, the mood between them tense.
"Ahem, you two do realise where you are, right?" lissa straightened them again.
"There is no need to hurry, you two can discuss it before letting know the answer" Reinhardt maintained his calm, looked at the clock before getting from his seat.
"It’s almost ti for lunch. Why don’t you two join us? After that, I can show you the houses around the outer district".

The four of them had lunch in a nice, fancy restaurant. Reinhardt and lissa were sitting in one table while the village chief and his wife in two different tables.
Karl tried making up with his wife, but she kept on ignoring him.
"They are quite a lot to handle," Reinhardt tried to keep his calm.
