"Our mission is to save the hostage. Clearing the bandits will be done by the adventurers. Is everyone clear on that part?"

At those words from Vangeance, everyone nodded their head. It appeared that their mission was not so much about eliminating the bandits as it was to rescue the hostage.

"Good, for this mission, the commander made in charge. I want all of you to follow my commands without doing anything stupid".

"Senior Vangeance, what do you an by doing sothing stupid?" Kevin raised his hand.

"I ant you, you idiot. Don’t go ruining our plan on so impulse of yours".

"That’s such a horrible thing to say to your junior. When have I ever acted impulsively?"

"Heh, who was the guy who ran off during the training and did not show up for a week?"

"T-That.." Kevin’s face blushed red from embarrassnt, unable to co up with a retort.

And so, while making such light hearted conversation, their team headed for the mountainside where they t up with a big group of adventurers.

"Whoa, there are so many of them." Kevin’s eyes opened wide as he looked at the adventurers waiting in the distance. At a glance, there were more than thirty of them, each wearing exquisite looking armors and weapons.

Joining a knight order was not the only option for a talented person here. There was also the profession of adventurer.

"Idiot, don’t be getting fazed by their numbers. They are after all, just adventurers," Vangeance spoke in a dismissive tone, the dislike in his tone evident.

It is true that for the people in this world, they also had the option of joining adventurer’s guilds, which are like a faction of loosely ranked explorers, profit seekers, and monster hunters.

The only reason they even act as a group is because of a common goal, which can be anything from gaining fa to doing this for thrill or fortune.

Unlike knight orders that are duty bound, fighting for protection and are motivated by loyalty, justice and valor, the adventurer guilds are simply cowards who run away when the kingdom issues a mobilization order.

While the adventurer wildly brag about slaying [A] rank and [S] rank monsters, you will never find them during ’call to arms’. The adventurers would either vanish from taverns, skip town, or co up with a convenient excuse of a high priority quest in a distant land.

They who never fought against the Forces of Darkness and put their life on the line did not deserve his respect.

When the group of knights spotted the adventurers, the latter too spotted them.

"Hello there, my na is Alex, the guild master of the Brilliant Sword".

A handso looking guy with short curly hair and decked in full armor made of so exquisite material, approached them.

Vangeance nodded his head, giving his introduction. As much as he hated this bunch, he was a knight first and foremost, and he would never let anything tarnish the honor of his order.

"Oh, you so you people are from the Temple of Light? It’s an honor to et you all," Alex perford a knight’s salute.

Seeing this behaviour, Vangeance clicked his tongue. Did this guy think he was a knight?

"Is there sothing wrong?" the adventurer questioned.

"Nothing, let us be on our way. The mountains the bandits are hiding in is quite far," Vangeance spoke, spurring his team forward.

The adventurers who saw that, felt quite annoyed. Their guild, the Brilliant Sword, was the one who received the quest first, and their involvent in this mission was the most, having brought all their mbers.

What’s more, they were also doing the lion’s share of work by taking on the bandits. All the knights were doing was rescuing the hostage. It should naturally be their guild, and their guild leader should be taking the lead for this quest and not the knights.

It was no wonder that many of them felt dissatisfied when they saw the knight taking the lead to order them.

"Alex, are you alright with that?" a hot woman wearing a sexy archer garb asked. Around her were other beautiful won with hot, seductive bodies like an assassin, a priest, and a mage.

"Haha, what do you an, alright? Let’s go, we need to complete this quest together," flashing a smile, he stopped the guild from saying anything further.

And so, Alex leading his guild Brilliant Sword, travelled towards the north eastern mountains where the bandits’ settlent was sighted. As the place was quite far from here, they had to stop in between their travel to rest quite a few tis.

"Alright everyone, let’s take a break here," Alex announced, and the convoy stopped.

"What? Again!! Didn’t we just take a break not long ago?" Vangeance questioned. It was not long ago that they took a break.

"Haha, what are you saying, Sir Knight? The last break was more than 2 hours ago. Our girls are tired, we need to allow them to rest, and besides, isn’t this a perfect place to take a break?"

Alex pointed out with his hands. Not far from them was a brook running with clean water and fish, a perfect spot for a break.

Girls from the Brilliant Sword imdiately ran towards the brook and played with the water in their underwear. Guys joined them half naked.

Soon, the scene turned into a kind of river party.

Looking at them, Vangeance’s eyes twitched. What did these people think they were here for? Picnic? The more they delayed the mission, the more riskier it would beco for the hostage.

"Alright, alright, I understand. However, you also need to think of your comrades".

"Comrades?"

Alex nodded, "That’s right, now that we are doing this mission together, that makes us comrades". His friendly smile and honest words gave others a good impression of him.
