Just like demons, the demonified knights also had rank. Well, it mostly depended on the stats of the knight’s corpse that got demonified.
A corpse that was a high-ranking knight would make up for a high-ranking demonified knight, while a false level 6 knight would fall under the category of the low rank.
The demonified knights that were currently pouring out of the vaults were mostly all mid ranking knights, with a few high ranking demonified knights in the mix.
The arrival of Reinhardt and his Temple of Light did not go unnoticed by the other two knight orders.
The knights from the Royal Lion Guards and Lunar Veil rejoiced at the sudden backup. As for the commanders of the two knight orders, they did not stop culling down the enemies even for a mont.
In fact, their speed seed to have increased even further, as if not wanting to be outdone by Reinhardt.

Even though the two of them had butted heads on nurous occasions, they were nevertheless knights who were allies on the battlefield first.
The demonic weapons that were being kept confined inside the vault, finding new masters, was indeed a grave matter.
Nevertheless, it shouldn’t pose too much of a trouble for a Level 9 knight who had one foot in the realm of the heroes.
As if knowing what he was thinking, the commander of the Royal Lion Guards locked his brows and picked up an event from a long ti ago.

How could any knights of their ti not know about the Battle of the Shadowfall Castle? It was a devastating event that went down in the annals of Solaris’ history as one of the worst disasters and was no less infamous than the likes of the Black Tide or Bloody Rain.
After all, in this battle, the kingdom lost one of its Level 10 legendary heroes, the generation of heroes that ca before Reinhardt and the others.
It was a massive loss for the kingdom, one that every citizen mourned for.
Reinhardt, who was only a high ranking knight at that ti, rembered attending the funeral of such a being.
"Why are you bringing that up?"
"It’s because the ones who killed Sir Gareth, the three Devil Brothers, are here. Or at least their demonified corpses are."
In the history of mankind, every legendary Level 10 hero died on the battlefield fighting the Forces of Darkness. Very few had the luxury of a natural death.
Be that as it may, there had never been an incident where a Level 10 knight was killed by beings other than demons.
The Battle of the Shadowfall that went down in the history of Soalris, wasn’t fought against the demons; no, the ones the knights fought was the organisation.
A faction built around heretics who believed that human evolution was tied to demons and researched a way to rge the two races’ bloodlines to produce stronger, more powerful warriors.
Needless to say, what they were trying to do was forbidden and produced more monstrosities for the Forces of Darkness.
The kingdom banned their research and even tried to throw them into prison. However, most of the senior researchers of the organisation had already committed the taboo and mixed their blood with the demons. It was impossible for any ordinary knight order to capture them.
As a result, they escaped and are still continuing their research to this day. Their nurous forbidden experints caused imnse destruction across the continent, leading the seven kingdoms and other small nations to put the organisation on the most wanted list.
His loyal shadow Karina, was also part of the organisation at that ti.
Anyways, the Battle of the Shadowfall was fought against the organisation, and Sir Gerard and his order, who found a lead to one of their bases, were the first to respond.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan. The base of the organisation was filled with nurous dangers and failed lab products. The most dangerous of them, the three Devil Brothers, even managed to kill Sir Gerard, one of the legendary heroes.

"How is it possible? Weren’t the Devil Brothers killed?" Reinhardt questioned.
A legendary hero was a legendary hero after all; no matter what dirty tricks the Devil Brothers used, they had to pay a heavy price in the end. While they did manage to kill him, they too perished at the hands of Sir Gerard. It was mutual destruction.
"Their bodies were never found. It is highly likely that the organisation retrieved the bodies of the Devil Brothers, as they contained a lot of research materials and information that they valued".
