"Y-Your Majesty... how should we proceed?" A minister asked with a grave tone. "The cri of consorting with demons... the re suspicion warrants execution, but we only have Malmond’s testimony. Such a grave matter must be thoroughly..."
What he was trying to say was they could not just act simply because of Malmond’s words. After all, the nobles he called out held quite a lot of influence in the kingdom, and their families had been serving the crown for generations.
However, before he could complete his sentence, he was cut off by the Queen.
"I am well aware. Which is why..." She turned her head; her gaze was fixed towards Reinhardt.
"My knight, how do you believe we should proceed?"
Her eyes took on a soft touch, and her voice held a warmth that had never been used for any minister or commander. Had the hall been in its usual state, the ministers and nobles would no doubt find the change in the Queen’s attitude a little strange.
However, right now the entire chamber was in chaos to notice the difference. Of course, not everyone. The King, who had been slumped in his seat this entire ti, dazed in his own thoughts, snapped awake at this mont as though stabbed. His head jerked towards his wife.
"My knight?"
That phrase, that tone, that unmistakable tenderness. Excitent, the kind of which he never felt before, crawled up his spine. He had heard those words before. In the dream, she clung to another man, taking his thing deep inside her. In the dream, she was being stolen from him.
No. It wasn’t a dream. That nightmare wasn’t his delusion. It was what was actually happening while he was asleep.
"My knight." His wife had spoken those very words with devotion that was supposed to be his, but wasn’t. And she was speaking them again. To Reinhardt.
The King felt a familiar heat pool around his lower abdon once again. Of course, no one paid attention to the King’s unusual behaviour as the attention of the entire court was at this mont focused on Reinhardt.
The latter was sowhere else entirely.
"My knight...?" She had to call him again and again. It was only on the third call that he blinked and returned to himself.
"Is sothing wrong?"
He shook his head. That said, even though he said nothing was wrong, he was still bothered by Earl Malmond’s confession earlier.
More specifically, the sche he spoke about. A na that had been dormant in his mories, one that was wrapped in regret and a certain complex feeling, surged to the forefront.

A young woman whose ideals and zeal for justice had been unparalleled. She was soone who shouldn’t have died in that mission.
Malmond’s confession earlier had confird Reinhardt’s worst suspicion. Scarlett’s mission was deliberately assigned, one that was difficult even from the perspective of the three heroes.
It was not the ambush of the demons, it wasn’t a miscalculation, nor was it an accident that took away one of the future heroes of Solaris. Scarlett’s mission was sabotaged, making the job, which already had nightmarish difficulty, beco even harder.
And all of it was because of these very vermin standing in front of him.
Every vein in Reinhardt’s body surged with divine fury. His aura, usually warm and radiant, now burned with a murderous intensity that made the air in the entire hall feel heavy and suffocating.
His eyes glanced; no, glared at the nobles who were pointed out by Malmond earlier.
The rage filled gaze of the Divine Paladin could be imagined. None of the people his gaze swept over could keep their composure. So of them felt their knees weaken and fell on the ground; others turned pale from the sight of his golden eyes as if their very blood was drained from them.
Just his anger alone, not a skill or an aura, was enough to crush their composure.
The Queen noticed his rage and left the decision to him.
How should they proceed? Reinhardt closed his eyes, taking a deep breath and restraining the urge to tear those traitors apart with his bare hands, an urge that almost swelled up to his throat.
These insects collaborated with demons for years, manipulating the Council, sabotaging missions, and sending budding knights, good n and won, who trusted their kingdom, to their deaths.
There was no way he was going to let them leave. Of course, he was going to make all of these vermin pay for their sins today.
These filthy things had been underestimating him since the beginning. They thought that he would not attack them, taking their own position and his into account. They thought that they were safe under the protection of their influence and the thing called civility.
However, they could not be anymore wrong. Reinhardt, from both present and past, cared little about his reputation, much less about his own position. He wanted to tear their heads from their necks and burn them with his divine fire.
However, if he killed them outright, it would put the Queen in a bad position. Chaos would follow. The court would lose all remaining structure, collapsing into anarchy.
He could not do that to her. This was a courtroom, and they were hiding behind the shield called proof.
Since they want proof, he would give them one. It was not like he needed to attack them with his skills to prove their involvent with the demons; he had other thods, too.
And so, before anyone could react, he closed his eyes and activated one of his unique skills: [Divine Animus: Spirit World].
The world around him dissolved. Colours bent, light warped, and his body felt weightless. When he opened his eyes again, he stood in a realm no human words could fully describe.
