At that mont, the suction force acting upon the civilians disappeared after sucking the flas latching onto their bodies and instead increased its pull towards the demon.
ARRGHHH... In a matter of seconds, the scourge’s body elongated and was pulled into the orb, disappearing into nothingness.

Eastern district... A couple of demons took an entire rchant guild hostage, holding their claws against the necks of the innocents and using them as shields.
"Kukuku... what’s wrong, knights? Where did all your bravado and energy go? Co kill us now." One of them laughed.
"This is why humans are so weak. They cannot kill their own. Let’s use these human shields to get out of here." Another added.
Just as they cooked up a plan to escape, they suddenly noticed the place had gone abnormally silent. Not only that, even the brightness inside the hall increased at so unknown point in ti.
Then, before they could do anything, a rain of light began to fall.
When the demons looked up, they saw a large holy circle encircling the entire place. That said, it was already too late to escape. The demons were consud by the rain of light.
"Holy Rain." Vanessa slowly muttered, entering through the door.

East, west, north, south... The Seven Commanders and the knights covered all corners of the capital, swiftly culling down the demons. They moved tirelessly, saving citizens and putting an end to the nightmare.
Not all battles were so clean though.

In a corner of the capital, a demon had taken hostage a baby infant. The other lay in a pool of blood, signs of struggle clear on her body. The woman needed help urgently.
Kevin gulped; sweat trickled down his face.
To cover a large area and also to make it seem less intimidating, the squad had decided to knock on different buildings to try and convince them to head for the plaza. However, that was when all hell broke loose.
Sounds of explosions and demonic roars echoed through the capital. Then, before he could react, shrieks started sounding off from the building in front of him.
Imdiately, he busted down the gate and entered. Following the screams, he arrived at the scene, only to stand rooted the next second. What transpired next could not be missed.
"Let the infant go." Kevin pointed [Tiamat] towards the demon.
"Kukuku... brat, just try swinging that sword and I’ll snap the neck of this baby. At that ti, it would be your fault if the baby dies. You don’t want the sin of killing a newborn life on your hands, right?"
The demon played with his opponent’s ntality, its cunning demonic eyes constantly roaming, scheming sothing. The hand that was holding the sword trembled. At this mont, Kevin was imnsely regretting his choice.
Why? Because the demon was none other than the man he had let go earlier, because he was unsure about the mission.
Now his worst nightmare had co true and he found himself regretting his choice.
BADUMP... BADUMP... What should he do? What could he do? He needed to act fast; the mother was bleeding and could still be saved if he brought her to his companions. However, if he moved, he would be endangering the life of the baby.
Faced with a heavy choice, Kevin found himself hesitant and weak.
[Calm your breath; you are too nervous. Don’t let the demon feed on your negative emotions; you are only empowering your opponent. Don’t worry; you can still save both of them.]
At this mont, when his mind was almost about to collapse, [Tiamat]’s voice sounded out in his mind, calming his wildly beating heart and rampaging thoughts.
Thanks to her words, he was able to calm himself down and observe the situation more rationally.
