Eleanor spoke, reminiscing about the events that took place in the very sa space and table.
Reinhardt shook his head. "It’s all thanks to your efforts. I simply trusted your talent".
The dinner continued, and conversation flowed. a mix of politics, art, and subtle, veiled flirtation between Reinhardt, lissa, and Eleanor.
Boulevard participated in the political discussions, his mind on duty and the task he was given by the royal family.
While he kept boasting, the other three shared glances, touches, and words loaded with anings he could not decipher.
lissa, throughout the al, felt the persistent, warm trickle. It was a constant reminder of the physical connection she shared with Reinhardt earlier.
Later, as they parted, Boulevard spoke to lissa.
"lissa, I must leave early tomorrow. Her Majesty has tasked with a few other tasks. I will leave you here, in Lord Reinhardt’s care. I was worried that you might be sad after your father’s passing. But fortunately, you seem... happier. I guess I was worried for nothing".
lissa smiled, "I am, dear. Life here is fulfilling."
Marquis Boulevard nodded. "Good. I guess it was a good decision to send you here after all."
Saying that, he turned towards Reinhardt. "Thank you for your hospitality, Viscount Reinhardt. And for taking care of lissa."
With that, he left with a peace of mind.
.
The next morning, as the sun cast a pale light over Snowpoint City, Marquis Boulevard prepared for his departure.
His carriage was ready, and he stood outside breathing the morning air. Although it was only 5 o’clock in the morning, the city was already becoming active.
The sound of knights going for the morning run could be heard from a distance.
"This city has changed so much ever since Reinhardt beca the governor of it. Thinking of what it was before in the hands of Baron Chetak, I cannot help but sigh".
Boulevad had co to this city before too, when it was being governed by Baron. However, at that ti, the state of the city, if it could even be called that, was abysmal.
Rampant poverty, division between the poor and the rich, and diseases was normal here.
However, all of that changed once the city ca under the rule of Reinahrdt Arcknight.
Now, the city had broken through all those shackles and was on its way to becoming one of the biggest cities in Solaris.
Boulevard looked at the distant, gigantic tree that had beco the iconic sight of the city.
From the information he possessed, he knew that the tree was called the World Tree. And Viscount Reinhardt, the commander of the Temple of Light, went to great lengths to nurture.
In the upcoming expedition to the Tainted Lands, it was said that the presence of the world Tree would be inevitable.
Thinking about the changes in the city made him rember the change that occurred to his wife.
Ever since she ca here, lissa had beco different. She did not just look happier, but transford. Her confidence had blood.
She moved with a new grace, a natural seduction that he had not seen in her body before. Her eyes held a spark, a fire that made her even more beautiful.
She glowed with a health and vitality that was captivating. And her deanor, she was more assertive, more... sexy.
He rembered the night when he invited Reinhardt to drink with him. Although he couldn’t rember much of that night because he was too drunk, he still rembered how happy his wife looked while conversing with Reinhardt.
The relaxed clothes she wore that day, her body trembling from laughing continuously. Sohow, she looked satisfied.
All of these changes appeared on her ever since she ca to Snowpoint City.
Boulevard couldn’t help but think that it was a change for the better, just like the scenery in the city.
Thinking that, he boarded his carriage. Making lissa serve Reinhardt’s was the Queen’s decision. However, today he thought it was a good choice to leave her in his care.
Not only did she get over the news of her father’s passing and the ruin of her house, but she also seed to be thriving here. She had beco more beautiful and confident.
Boulevard couldn’t help but believe in such an arrangent. Be that as it may, when he rembered the night at the theatre.
lissa’s flushed skin, her heaving chest, the damp spot on her gown. The spilled wine explanation was logical. Yet, a tiny, nagging doubt whispered at the edge of his consciousness.
The way she had looked at Reinhardt... the charged atmosphere in the room... the sounds he had heard but dismissed...
There was a part of him that felt anxious for so reason he could not point out.
At this mont, the driver clicked the reins, and the vehicle began its journey out of Snowpoint City.
With that, Boulevard pushed all of his doubts away.
lissa was his wife, she was dedicated to her work. Reinhardt was a powerful knight that he respected the most.
While Marquis Boulevard was having such thoughts in Reinhardt’s mansion. Lying on the bed inside his private chamber, naked and with only a thin comforter covering her voluptuous curves was lissa.
Traces of last night’s activity could be seen on her body. Love bites, hand prints, and even dried traces of love nectar... the woman slept on the bed, sound asleep.
She was completing her sleep after being unable to get any last night. As for the man who shared the bed with her, he was already in the training grounds, training his knights.
Reinhardt stood in the middle of the circle with Zerina and the other high ranking knights surrounding him. All of them were holding practice swords and were fully equipped in their training gear.
To fight the Commander, this level of preparedness was the bare minimum, even for a level 8 Holy Knight like Zerina.
The day started just like usual. However, even Reinhardt at that mont had no idea that a shadow was creeping towards his residence.
