"Who are you?"
The question had been bugging his mind since the time he came here.
"I am what they call the primordius dragon. The last protector of this world. You will learn about me in the time to e. Just trust in yourself and [Tiamat], she is the only thing that can go against that fellow".
"Everything that happens in this world is for a reason. Now then, out you go. Remember, when you e to yourself, you will still be in a fight. I have restored your body to its peak condition, so do not be reckless. You bear a fate far greater than life itself".
Those were the last words Kevin heard before he came to himself. His head running with numerous questions; nevertheless, he suppressed all of them down and focused on the fight in front of him.
Sword pointed outwards, he called out the name of his sword.
"[Tiamat]".
GROAARR... a deep gurgling, far more shocking and terrifying than a demon’s rang out from the sword. The next second, it turned into a huge maw and devoured the ining lightning bolts.
Usually, he would be exhausted after just absorbing for or five magic. However, this time, he felt like he could keep going on. A mysterious power was circling through his body at this moment, giving him an endless source of energy.
The sword devoured all the thunderbolts. At the same time, those mysterious, gleaming lines appeared in his vision once again. The profound state that brought his powers to a whole new realm.
SLASH... SLASH... SLASH... the crimson sword traced beautiful arcs in the air, devouring all the ining magic, and then it spat all of them out.
BOOM... A sword slash of a brilliant mix of colors that contained such terrifying energy that the demon was scared out of its mind. Quickly, it dodged the slash, not daring to take it head on.
The sword slash contained all of the magic that the sword devoured, stacked and multiplied. As a result of using such a powerful ability, Kevin was spent in a second, his body dropped on the ground, refusing to listen to his mand anymore.
Be that may, he had done his job. It was all up to Gwen and Rolan now.
"Gwen!!" Rolan called out. Kevin had opened the perfect opportunity for them; they cannot let it go to waste.
The girl nodded, pushing her powers to her peak. Usually, when she activated her movement skill, she would be surfing through the waters.
However, this time, thanks to pushing her body to its absolute limit, gaining enlightenment, the tense situation and various other factors mixed in, she evolved her skill to a new realm and brought forth a large wave behind her, accelerating her speed to new heights.
Rolan, who was in front her, getting a free ride, charged his sword. Light particles gathered around his sword in droves.
[Holy Slash], a level 4 skill augmented by the [Blessings of Valor] level 5 enchantment skill. Furthermore, he was also trying to reach a state that he had failed to grasp all this time.
"Gwen!!" he called out. However, even without him needing to say anything, the girl was all ready.
"[Sacred Water Heart]" A huge pillar of water jutted out from the tip of her sword, crashing against Rolan and propelling him forward at a breakneck speed.
In the blink of an eye, he was already upon the demon, and before the latter could cast its magic again, he slashed forward.
"[Holy Blade Arts]— First Light," he slowly muttered under his breath as he swept his sword. It was a clean, beautiful arc without excessive strength or useless movement. At that moment, the sword became an extension of his body, moving and reacting in a way just like he wanted.
SWOOSH... a thin line ran through the head of the demon down to its very loins. Split second later, with a bright light that exploded out of its body, the demon, along with everything that was in the path for dozens of meters ahead, was split in half.
Seeing that he acplished the task that he had failed during the training, Rolan gave a satisfied smile. The next second, with the momentum of the water jet still carrying him forward, he crashed into a tree face first.
BAM!!
The squires of the temple of light defeated their first mid ranking demon all on their own, without the help of the knights. An achievement that would bee the anchor that will help them grow and strengthen in the future.
Suddenly, there was rustling of leaves and two figures appeared at the scene.
"Huff... Huff... haha, look at that, will you? These fellows managed to bring down a mid ranking demon all on their own. I told you, none of the members of the Temple of Light are weak."
A young man with ash grey hair declared, taking deep breaths of air. He was carrying an unconscious middle aged woman in his arms.
"Huff... Huff... shut up, it was you who was the most worried," a silver haired girl rebuked, her breathing similarly labored.
Who could the two figures be other than Vangeance and Silvia? Looking at their current appearance, it could be seen that they had rushed here as fast as possible. Though they were a step too late, as the squires had already slain the demon.
"Haha, senior Vangeance, we managed to defeat a mid ranking demon," Kevin bragged as he walked over, using his sword as support.
"Haha, you guys did something amazing."
Usually, he would berate him for acting too haughty. However, this time he didn’t, as he knew how great of an acplishment it was for the squires to defeat a mid ranking demon.
Kevin had the right to brag.
"Who dealt that last blow?" Vangeance questioned. While he and Silvia might have been late, but being true knights, they could at least sense the fierce power ing from their battle even from a distance.
Naturally, an attack that could finish off a mid ranking demon, gave off a powerful energy spike that was difficult to miss when one steps into the realm they were in.
