While Gwen spoke in a manner that said she didn’t care much, anyone could see that she was truly glad to see him moving and breathing again.
"It’s good that you are back to your usual self. Let’s report back to the mander and everyone. They must be quite worried by now."
Kevin nodded his head and jumped down from the bed.
"How long was I sleeping for?"
"Three days."
"What?!"
"It has been three days since the battle inside the vault was over. During these days, Senior Vangeance, Senior Silvia, and everyone visited you quite a few times."
"O-Oh."
He had no idea three days had passed while he was knocked out in that bed. Quickly, he undid his pajamas and slipped into his own clothes.
"W-wait, what are you doing? At least close the door when you are changing, you idiot."
While the boy still had his boxers on, the sight of the boy’s toned chest and manly body was still too much of a visual shock for the pure maiden girl.
In her embarrassment, she threw the glass at him to knock some sense into him. However, the boy caught it with cat like reflexes while working on his clothes.
A scene that both surprised the person himself and Gwen.
After strapping the crimson sword on his back, the two squires were ready to head out. They were on their way to the gate of the estate when, from the front walked a large man donning a long coat and suit.
He had grey hair on the sides and walked more like a warrior who had spent long years on the battlefield rather than a noble. Most importantly, his facial features slightly resembled Gwen’s.
"Ah, Father!" the latter called out.
With no surprise, the stoic person walking with an air of inborn nobility was none other than Gwen’s father, the lord of the estate.
"My dear daughter, are you heading out already? If you want, you can stay a little longer; I can talk with your mander. Your mom would be happy too. I think she is ing over to the capital to meet you right now."
The girl suddenly panicked at the mention of her mother. "I think I will meet with her another time. Once she starts nagging, she doesn’t stop."
"Haha, you’re right. Still, she is your mother. Don’t give her a hard time and meet with her before you leave the capital," Gwen nodded.
"By the way, Father, what are you doing here? Didn’t you say that you had an urgent meeting with the capital aristocrats?"
"About that, I sent a representative. It’s just those goddamn fools speaking some nonsense strategies to manipulate others for their own interest again. I am not inclined to attend their little social gathering. More than that..."
Gerard, who was lovingly ruffling his daughter’s hair, shifted his attention to the boy his daughter brought in.

The moment the Earl’s attention focused on him, Kevin felt all the hair on his body stand on end.
A powerful pressure, palpable enough to even distort the air, settled around them, and for some reason, he felt like he was a guilty person being put on trial.
Just what was going on? It was not like this was their first time meeting. They had gone together to the Kingdom of Rune. The Earl was not like that at that time.
"So you are Kevin, huh?"
"Y-yes."
"I heard a lot about you from my daughter to the point where my ears have bee sore."
At those words, Gwen’s face blushed so red that it turned into the color of a bright tomato.
Did she talk about him so much? Seeing the reaction of his daughter, Gerard’s eyes twitched. How could he not understand that response of his daughter?
The way she looked at the boy and the fact that she brought him to their estate to nurse and look after him. He was a young man once too.
Unable to hold himself back any longer, Gerard grit his teeth and rumbled.
"I won’t give my daughter’s hand to you for marriage, you hear me? You two are far too young to think about such stuff."
"O_O"
A momentary silence descended upon the place. Kevin and Gwen both blinked their eyes, then suddenly Gwen screamed loudly.
"F-F-Father, what are you saying?!!"
Hot smoke came out of her head, and she practically dragged her father into the manor.
"I will not... I will not give you her hand, you hear me!!"
The Earl’s voice continued to echo from the distance until it could no longer be heard.
"Huh?!" Kevin blinked his eyes at the awkward encounter.
A moment later, Gwen returned from the manor, her face still blushing red.
"Let’s go." She did not turn to look at him and started leading almost in an evasive manner. Right now, she was so embarrassed that she could not even look at his face directly.
Kevin did not say anything and calmly followed behind the girl. Soon, he realized that they were not heading for the Arcknight mansion in the capital but instead toward the western district.
"Where are we going?"
"mander said that we all need to check our level at the altar since some of us might have reached the condition for a level up," Gwen spoke, trudging ahead.

Before long, the two reached the Cathedral.
Standing in front of the Altar, Kevin slowly placed his hands on its smooth surface.
At that very moment, the large crystal lit up, and words appeared on it one after the other. His name, Title, Skills, Stats, Traits, and everything about him were mentioned in the altar.
"I fulfilled the condition to level up?!"
The first thing the squire checked was his level. And to his surprise, he saw a small arrow button next to his current level, an indication that he had fulfilled all the conditions for a level up.
"This... this is great."
Unable to keep his excitement in check, he quickly got into working the altar.
