Squires who belonged to the Seven Great Orders distinguished themselves in the battle and showed others why they were chosen by the Seven Great Knight manders.
Be that as it may, the other squires did not sit idle either. They channelled their attacks, unleashing an array of skills targeted at the Cerberus, blinding and annoying the three heads of the creature.
Seeing that it was distracted, Kevin leapt in high above them.
"[Tiamat] - Release."
He shouted again. At that moment, the three high ranking spells his sword devoured, flared into existence once again.
Flame, lightning, and poison, they layered around his sword, creating a unique attack that melded all the attributes, manifesting something that broke mon sense.
A pale blue glow appeared around the sword, sizzling and distorting the space violently. Additionally, under the [Gleaming State], Kevin was extremely fast. He came down on the monster like a falling star, forcing the Cerberus to block with its wings.
BAM!!
The impact was so powerful that it blasted a shockwave through the hall.
"Keep the pressure on!" Kevin shouted. For a moment, just for a moment, they were pushing it back.
Seeing this, the squires attacked with renewed fervour. Cerberus might be an S rank legendary monster; however, that did not mean that it was impossible to defeat.
With squires like Kevin, Gwen, and Stark, it seemed like defeating it was possible.
Under the bined attack of the many squires, the Cerberus skidded across the cracked marble, its claws scraping deep trenches. Sparks flew as it tried to stabilize itself. The extreme flames were burning its fur.
Holy Light weakened it. Water whips coiled around its legs. Lightning magic stung its wings.
A multitude of strikes landed one after another in near perfect coordination.
Kevin’s heavy swings, Gwen’s slashes, Stark’s fire, Rolan’s holy attacks, and Delicia’s expert support. Everything connected beautifully, like a piece of art slowly being pleted.
Having trained and pleted many missions, they were no longer the same people they were a year ago. They had undergone a profound transformation, and the effects could be seen in the way they handled a legendary beast that was supposed to be beyond their current level.
The beast stumbled. Its centre head drooped down, and its wings curled defensively. What’s more, its previously loud growls had also stopped ing for a moment now. It looked like they were actually winning.
Everyone had the same thought.

In one of the floors of the tower, in a place shrouded in eternal winter. Ice thicker than ancient glacial walls entombed Reinhardt from head to toe.
In front of this frozen monument, the high ranking demon threw its head back and laughed.
"Relax, today shall be the last time he will breathe."
Beside him, Earl Malmond made a face that said he wasn’t convinced.
"Y-You’re sure this will work, right? If... if he breaks free..." The man was cautious by nature, but whenever the Divine Paladin was involved, that caution twisted into a suffocating paranoia.
Hearing the words of the human, the high ranking demon grinned wide enough to show all three rows of jagged teeth.
"Hahaha... The seal binding that man is older than your entire kingdom, older than the seven nations bined. It has endured for thousands of years without a single flaw. Breaking out of it? Impossible."
The demon was unusually confident in the seal. Still, it knew not to underestimate a knight who had stepped into the realm of heroes. It added, "And even if the impossible happens... I came prepared."
GRAORR... At that moment, a Demonified Knight stepped forward. Its entire body was clad in jet black armor that radiated an oppressive weight.
Through the visor, its crimson eyes glowed like burning coals. On its left arm, it carried a shield so massive it might as well be a piece of a fortress wall. On its right... a gauntlet so enormous it seemed mismatched, almost ically oversized.
Yet the moment anyone laid their eyes on it, they would feel a cold dread suffocate their chest. Because that gauntlet wasn’t for defence. It was made to pulverize.
Anyone unaware of the knight’s identity would only feel fear from their presence. But those who knew the truth, those who had read the books of history, would recognize this figure instantly.
There had been only a handful of knights in all seven great kingdoms who used gauntlets as their primary weapon instead of a sword. And among them, one stood far above the rest.
A warrior who reached the realm of heroes through the raw, unstoppable might of his gauntlet that blew all of his enemies into bloody bits.

The world once knew him by two titles: The Fortress of Adamantine and the Doom Fist. Even when demonified, even when stripped of will, the knight’s presence was such that it eased some of Earl Malmond’s anxiety.
If anyone could stand against the Divine Paladin, it was this former legend. After all, it was widely known that only a level 10 can stop another level 10.
Still, this wasn’t enough. They needed more assurance. The spatial gate ripped once again, and another figure emerged from within.
This one was not covered with corruption; no, she appeared in pristine white garments. Her soft and elegant aura was wildly out of place on a battlefield filled with corpses and armored monstrosities.
"A... woman?" Earl Malmond muttered, his brow furrowing. "Why did you bring a woman here?"
"Kukuku..." The demon laughed. "She is no ordinary woman, Earl Malmond. She is the perfect host. The one who carries the curse of the Demon Lord."
The expression on Earl Malmond’s face changed. He finally understood why the demon was so horrifyingly confident of his victory. It was because he had prepared the most powerful weapon that the Divine Paladin was weak against.
