Qiao Qing shook her head, “Even though the blood infused pearl Red gave me allowed the medicine to mix with Leng Yan’s blood, I am still worried.”
“To ensure no accidents occur throughout the IV process, I have to keep an eye on him. Brother, you guys should go rest. You’re all tired since you’ve been staying up late with me all these weeks.”
Jun Yexuan pulled over a chair and sat beside her, “We haven’t done anything. There’s no way we are more exhausted than you. You just want to keep an eye on him right? Let’s do it together.”
Qi Yusen also sat down and stayed with her without another word.
Qiao Qing knew that she wasn’t going to outargue the two men so she stopped trying. She placed her fingers on Leng Yan’s wrist and watched him without blinking an eye.
As the medicine entered his bloodstream, the pulse from his wrist grew stronger. Qiao Qing watched Leng Yan’s grey plexion fade away slowly. When redness returned to his cheeks, Qiao Qing was ecstatic.
On the side, Mu Jinghang widened his eyes, “Oh my christ, this is miraculous. Based on what I’ve seen from you, I thought at least you would need to operate on him. But your medicine alone is curing him?”
Jun Yexuan rolled his eyes, “You’re making this sound easy. You saw how difficult it was for Qiao Qing to make the medicine work. You think you’d be able to do it?”
Mu Jinghang rubbed his nose, “Third brother, I said the wrong thing.”
Qiao Qing didn’t think much of it. When she spoke, her voice seeped with uncontrollable joy.
“His condition was due to toxins in his blood. As long as the toxins in his bloodstream get purified, he’ll be healthy again. Therefore, medicine is the key, not operation.”
Everyone nodded as if they learned something.
After the two bags of IV were finished, Qiao Qing removed the needle from his hand. She made sure that he didn’t experience any side effects before she shouted, “Lang Yin.”
Lang Yin showed up, “Yes.”
“You’ve been following me for a long time and you know the basics of medicine. You monitor him for a while. If you notice anything unusual, let me know right away.”
Lang Yin, “Yes.”
After Qiao Qing was done, she turned to leave. However, her body reacted like the string on a bow that’s been stretched for far too long – it snapped. She didn’t get to take two steps before her vision went dark and she collapsed.
“Qingqing!”
“Qingqing!”
“Qingqing!”
The men were in shock. Qi Yusen and Jun Yexuan caught her.
Jun Yexuan picked her up princess-style while he yelled at Qi Yusen, “Brother, call the doctor!” He then dashed out of Leng Yan’s bedroom.
Qi Yusen whipped out his phone immediately.
Lang Yin said weakly, “Young Master, the young miss is simply tired. She’ll recover after a good night of sleep.”
Qi Yusen ignored him and still decided to get the doctor over here.
After the doctor checked out Qiao Qing’s condition, he said to Qi Yusen and Jun Yexuan, “The young lady is just too exhausted. She’s been under high stress for a long time so the sudden relief she felt made her pass out. It’s rather normal that she collapsed. She’ll recover after a good night of sleep.”
If Lang Yin was here, he’d for sure mutter, “I told you so.”
Qi Yusen and Jun Yexuan sighed in relief.
Just then, Zhou Xin walked over. He was about to speak when Jun Yexuan shushed him and whispered, “Qingqing is sleeping. Let’s talk outside.”
“Oh.” Zhou Xin left the room with everyone.
After Jun Yexuan closed the door behind him, Zhou Xin shouted in excitement, “I went to check on the young master, and his plexion is now basically the same as any normal person! Ms. Qiao is a miracle worker!”
