"Addison, stop overthinking and just tell what you need to do." Silas cut in gently, pulling Addison’s mind back to the present when Silas noticed the younger woman’s face turning pale, horror flickering in her eyes. She couldn’t help but pull Addison back from her overthinking.

Silas could see the fear for her children written all over Addison’s face, but she also knew she couldn’t lie or downplay the truth. Addison deserved to know just how special her children were, whether the knowledge comforted her or only deepened her worry.

Addison took a few steadying breaths before eting Silas’s gaze again. Talking with her was always a challenge. Silas’s attention tended to drift toward whatever interested her most, often throwing Addison off-topic.

Now, after her mont of worry for her children, she forced herself to calm down. Silas, for once, stayed quiet, simply watching her.

"Silas, like I said, it feels like we’ve walked straight into a trap. We have no choice but to use the biochemical weapon in our hands, but doing so will consu this land with Corrupted Energy, leaving it barren. What we fear most, though, is that the Corrupted Energy could turn this place into a breeding ground for demons..." Addison explained gravely.

"So, you want to co over and purify the land? But don’t you already have the light fairy? Or are you just not confident enough to use its ability?" Silas asked casually, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Addison froze, montarily at a loss for words. She had considered using the light fairy’s power to purify the land, but having Silas as a backup gave her far more reassurance. Before she could respond, however, Silas pressed on.

"Besides, isn’t your Royal Alchemist already working on a treatnt agent? And isn’t your father exhausting every effort to procure a light-attribute mana stone?"

"Say... you can’t leave the Sacred Land right now, can you?" Addison asked suddenly, raising a brow at Silas as if she had just figured out why Silas kept pointing out alternatives.

Looking a little guilty, Silas admitted, "Well... yes. I’ve been preparing for the sacred ritual, which ans I need to remain in the temple for the entire month. Until it’s over, I won’t be able to leave and co to your domain." Her tone softened, and she gave Addison an apologetic look.

"Wait... It’s already that ti?" Addison perked up. Having lived in the Sacred Land for three years, she was well-acquainted with the ritual Silas ntioned. Every year, Silas would retreat to the throne room where they had first t, shutting herself inside for the entire month to commune with the God she served.

No one knew what was said or what transpired within, only Silas herself.

Addison never understood how Silas survived without sleep or food for so long, but each ti the ritual ended and Silas finally erged, she didn’t look weak or starved. Instead, she radiated even more vitality and seed younger, glowing with divine energy.

Addison could only assu that direct communion with her God replenished Silas, filling her with so much power that earthly needs like food and rest simply beca unnecessary.

"Alright then, I can only look forward to seeing you a month later?" Addison asked expectantly. She knew that after completing the sacred ritual, Silas would be at the peak of her strength, overflowing with divine power.

If Silas ca to help then, restoring the land might not take years, or even months. Just the thought of it made Addison’s heart race with excitent, her earlier worries montarily giving way to hope.

"You can expect then, but when I arrive, you’d better have plenty of gossip ready to entertain . Otherwise... well, you know what awaits you," Silas declared with a mock haughty air, chin lifted high.

A mont later, she broke into laughter, her saintly image completely forgotten. "Yes, after a month, you can look forward to . I’ll bring my entourage straight to your Royal Palace."

Hearing this, Addison felt her heart finally begin to calm. With Silas coming, it ant that everything might turn out fine. Still, she knew she had to keep the matter tightly under wraps; no one could know of Silas’s arrival.

If word leaked, her enemies would surely seize the chance to plot an assassination against the Sacred Land’s Saintess. The thought alone made Addison’s heart sink. After all, if Silas were to die within her territory, it would beco the perfect excuse to sow discord between the werewolf Royal Family and the Sacred Land.

The people there would no longer see her as an ally but as an enemy. Just imagining it made her chest tighten with dread. ’Would it even be wise to invite Silas back to her palace now?’ Addison thought to herself.

"Don’t worry, Addie. Do I look like an easy target?" Silas suddenly spoke when she saw Addison’s expression freeze, then fall. She knew exactly what was haunting her thoughts.

But Silas was no soft persimmon, even as the Saintess. "Besides, after the sacred ritual, that’s when I’m at my strongest all year. Let’s see who dares pick a fight with ; chances are, they’ll be the ones on the losing end."

Her playful smirk faded into a more solemn tone. "What worries more are the remnants of the Dark Witch’s faction. It’s obvious they’re plotting sothing big, and whether you like it or not, you’re right in the middle of it. That’s why you’ll need by your side more than anyone else."

Addison fell into deep thought. ’Silas is right. I need as many allies by my side as possible, because no one knows how big this fight will turn out to be. If we’re really going up against the Dark Witch’s faction, who can say how vast their network is, or how many races have joined hands with them? No one even knows their true motives, or why I’m their target. Silas is my best bet.’

After convincing herself, Addison gave Silas a firm nod, and with that, their conversation ca to a close. For now, she would have to endure a month of waiting for her new ally. But what would unfold during that ti, no one could predict. All Addison knew was that she had mountains of work ahead of her.

After confirming everything with her father, Maleveric, and Silas, Addison felt a new wave of confidence as she returned to work in the fields. At last, Elric could claim his room to himself, and he fell into a deep sleep the mont he lay down.

The hours slipped by until night fell. Addison only stopped long enough to grab a quick al in the cafeteria before hurrying back to the fields with the other farrs.
