Early the next morning at the crack of dawn, Jasmine and Otto were up.
Although Jasmine had been up earlier.
She had been on her bed rubbing her belly and humming the song she had known her entire life.
A song that has brought so much complications to her life.
One that had given her so many questions.
She rubbed her belly as she thought of her child.
She thought of her mother who had never had the chance to raise her.
As she reminisced of the mother she never had, she rembered the girl who looked just like her in the dream.
Except been more beautiful.
More fierce and with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Jasmine doubted her mother was anything like her.
From the energy she had gotten, her mother had been free and happy.
Had a voice unlike Jasmine who had been raised in an unfortunate way.
Had the most unfortunate life.
She fingered the necklace on her neck.
She was going to give it to her baby the exact sa way her mother had given her.
She thought of how her mother had never grown past a certain age and it hit her that she too was becoming like her mother.

She wanted her child to be raised by her and no one else.
She was going to be different.
She was going to try her best to fight whatever it was.
She was going to make a way to give birth to her baby.
She would survive it.
She bent down to her tummy and whispered softly to him.
"I’ll be there for you. I promise." She assured.
Him because in her spirit she believed it was a boy.

She thought of the woman at the bar.

She had lost her baby too and yet Jasmine seed drawn to her.
In a way she couldn’t understand.
Or was she a spy?
Soone that the royal pack had sent look for her?
Through their two months on the road they had dodged so many mishaps.
Assassins, kidnappers.
So who had actually suspected she was the one they were looking for and had almost taken them hostage.
Otto had saved the day.
And now that they had finally reached their destination, she was relieved.
"I see you’re already awake." Otto said once the cock crowed.
She smiles at him. "I’m just singing to the baby and well-
"OWW!" She said in pain.
He sat up quickly. "What’s wrong? Are you okay?"
She nodded as she placed her hand at the back of her waist.
"I’m fine." She nodded. "It’s just.... Well the baby.... Likes to kick aggressively sotis."
He sighed in relief. "Well if it’s any consolation to that little monster then we are already at the distant lands. And we should be able to trace your uncle. We still have about a month till you deliver."
Jasmine shook her head. "Otto I don’t think we have that."
He frowned. "Huh?"
"The baby." Jasmine managed as she massaged a brow. "This baby. I feel like he is going to be different. I think he might be here earlier than we might have anticipated."
"Jasmine no one has given birth in two months." Otto gasped in shock.
"Well it seems I might he the first." She said with a cocked brow.
She gently tried to adjusted her back till she didn’t feel the pain anymore.
"This one is excited to get out." She said with a weak smile.
Otto got up to his feet and pushed his books to his bag.
"At least we’re here." Otto said. "We should get breakfast and head out. we need to find out what the politics is like here now."
"Otto the woman outside." Jasmine rembered. "The woman at the bar. She said her husband had been killed by soldier of the moonlight pack. That must be Bale’s people."
Otto paused for a while. "Good heavens. Why didn’t you tell that since?"
She shrugged. "Wasn’t sure it was necessary."
He looked at her like she was crazy. "I hope you didn’t ntion anything about being Bale’s daughter."
"How can i?" She asked hastily as she shook her head.
He looked at her his eyes heavy with suspicion.
"I’ll take your words on that Jasmine:" he said. "But I’ll tell you this now. You can not ntion who you are to anyone. We don’t know what it’s like here. I’ve never been to the distant lands. And there is a good reason why they are called the distant lands. They are so far away from all the other packs that pitting an eye on them is like looking through the eye of a hurricane. They are hard to ta. We don’t know what to expect so I beg of you. Do any and everything with precaution. Don’t trust anyone. Do you understand ?"
Annoyed at being talked to like she was a child, Jasmine admitted he was right.
She couldn’t blow up her change to have all her questions answered.
She nodded. "Yes I do."
"You should get set." He said as he gathered his items. "We still have about an hour to get to the city center."
"I thought we were already in the distant lands?" I asked confused.
"This is the outskirts." He inford. "We need to journey a bit if the map is correct."
Then he cleared his throat. "Now for us to go into the pack house itself. I would tell them that I am a wandering rapid wolf looking for healing while you are my heavily pregnant wife."
"Won’t that deter them more?" She asked with a worried look.
"Good goddess no." He said. "One slight mistake I can bite them and turn them into rabid wolves. No one wants that. We stick to the plan and we would be let in to see the pack healer. We will gather as much information as we can. Do you understand?"
She nodded in agreent.
This was it.
She was finally going to find her family.
