Yuan Chengmo withdrew his gaze and chuckled helplessly, "Silly girl."
"Senior, Yu Chen used to tell that having a sister feels like... I bicker with her every day, but when soone else bullies her, I get furious, like I’m the only one in the world allowed to bully her!
That’s how I feel about you, Senior. Even though I argue with you often, I just don’t like hearing anyone say bad things about you. You’re under my protection!"
The explosive music reverberated through every corner of the nightclub, blending with countless chaotic sounds around.
Qin Muni’s clear and sweet voice was like a droplet of water on ice, lodious as it slowly reached Yuan Chengmo’s ears, drowning out all the other noises.
Yuan Chengmo didn’t know whether to feel happy or sad upon hearing her words.
Evidently, in Qin Muni’s heart, his position was very important. However, this position was limited to being a brother-like Senior, mixed with friendship and familial affection, yet lacking the love he desired.
He habitually reached out, affectionately touching Qin Muni’s head, "When I call you silly, you really are silly. You can’t just stubbornly fight with people like that—what if you get hurt?"
Qin Muni nodded in agreent, her slightly drunken, peach blossom eyes gently rippling with soft waves. She feigned annoyance and said, "I let the bodyguard off today, what a misstep. Otherwise, I could have easily taken on those two."
"Did it hurt when you were pushed?"
"It hurt earlier, now not so much."
"I’ll take you ho to ice it for a while."
"Okay."
When they returned to their seats, Wu Yuchen was playing with her phone, bored. Seeing Yuan Chengmo helping Qin Muni over, she imdiately put her phone back in her bag.
"Why did it take so long, did sothing happen?"
Qin Muni shook her head, "Nothing much, let’s go ho first. I’m a bit tired."
"Cheng Mo’s just arrived, are you leaving already?"
At these words, Yuan Chengmo’s face broke into a gentle smile, "It’s okay, let’s get together again tomorrow night. Munni seems a bit drunk, I’ll take you back first."
"Alright." Wu Yuchen nodded, not saying much else, and picked up her and Qin Muni’s bags, and the three of them left the nightclub together.
The doorman brought Yuan Chengmo’s car to the nightclub entrance and respectfully opened the car for the three of them.
Yuan Chengmo placed Qin Muni in the front passenger seat, then walked around to the driver’s seat.
He glanced at Wu Yuchen in the rearview mirror and asked with a smile, "Yu Chen, which hotel are you staying at?"
"Fan Shuo."
"Alright, okay. Sorry, I didn’t entertain you well tonight."
Wu Yuchen waved her hand indifferently, "It’s fine, tomorrow then. Can’t just leave that drunkard next to you unattended."
Qin Muni lazily leaned against the seatback, and upon hearing Wu Yuchen call her a drunkard, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes, "I just had a few drinks."
"Yeah, right, a few drinks—most of a bottle of whiskey."
"You married woman wouldn’t understand the kind of intoxication us single folks are pursuing."
Listening to Qin Muni’s earnest self-defense, while also teasing Wu Yuchen, Yuan Chengmo couldn’t help but laugh, "You sure have a carefree heart, drinking so recklessly without worrying about being taken advantage of in a place like that."
"Maybe I’ll get lucky and be taken advantage of by a handso guy. If so, maybe I actually win."
Her drunken words made Wu Yuchen roll her eyes involuntarily, "Co on, no way a handso guy would choose you when there are so many beauties flirting around."
