As usual, the eting only introduced the company’s performance from the past quarter and the projects to be executed in the coming quarter.
The eting took an hour and a half before reaching its conclusion. Before officially ending the eting, the host routinely asked, "Does any director have any questions or suggestions to bring up?"
The conference room was silent for five seconds. The host’s gaze quickly scanned the directors below. As he was about to speak the closing remarks, a pleasant female voice suddenly ca to his ears, "Yes, I do."
The host paused for a second, then turned his gaze towards the source of the voice, Qin Muni.
He adjusted the glasses on the bridge of his nose and respectfully said, "Director Qin, please go ahead."
Everyone in the conference room turned their gaze to Qin Muni, waiting for her to speak.
Qin Muni’s mouth was close to the microphone, slowly curling a graceful arc at the corners of her red lips, like the gentle ripples that spread out when a breeze blows across a lake surface.
Her calm gaze swept over the host, finally landing on Xu Yisen, who was seated at the chief position.
"I propose terminating the contract with the entertainnt company’s model, Xia Yuge."
Qin Muni’s eyebrows slightly arched, the smile at the corner of her red lips as bright and warm as the March sun, yet the smile did not reach her eyes. At the mont, those charming peach blossom eyes were filled with a chilling coldness like shattered ice and snow.
After her words fell, the conference room plunged into silence. Everyone knew that the relationship between Qin Muni, Xu Yisen, and Xia Yuge was extrely complex, so they dared not rashly echo.
The directors exchanged glances, wisely keeping silent, turning their gaze towards Xu Yisen, who was seated at the chief seat, his deep black eyes hard to discern.

With Xu Yisen’s agreent, the directors below naturally echoed by raising their hands.
Such a trivial matter as terminating a model’s contract with the entertainnt company wasn’t really worth bringing up at a board eting; Qin Muni could have resolved it privately.
However, she deliberately brought it to the board eting, undoubtedly forcing Xu Yisen to make a statent. Whether to continue supporting the model Xia Yuge, whom he once helped beco popular, or to acquiesce to Qin Muni’s request to terminate the contract with Xia Yuge.
Xu Yisen’s answer was as expected.
Since Xu Yisen, as the chairman, had already clearly stated his position so directly, naturally the board would not provoke Qin Muni and Xu Yisen for the sake of a minor model.
"Unanimously agreed to the proposal to terminate the contract with the entertainnt company’s model Xia Yuge."
Finally, the host asked once more, "Does any director have any other questions or suggestions to propose?"
Five seconds later, still no one spoke. The host delivered a simple closing remark, and the eting was declared adjourned.
After seeing the chairman, Xu Yisen, off, the directors finally rose and left one after another.
Liu RanYe, Xu Yisen’s maternal uncle, walked to Qin Muni’s side, his smile deep and unfathomable, "Miss Qin is indeed impressive."
