Munni still leaned against the headboard, the words Yisen had just said to her over the phone lingering in her mind.
An indescribable emotion flowed through her heart like the lting snow of early spring, warming her entire chest.
After a mont, she finally ca back to her senses and reached out to turn off the indoor light.
The once-bright room fell into darkness, and she lay down, a gentle curve graced her lips as she gradually drifted into sleep.
Munni had a dream, in which she and an aged Yisen sat on a lawn, telling their grandchildren about their love story in their youth.
The afternoon sun was so warm, it made one unintentionally relax, and the grandchildren listening to their story couldn’t resist the sleepiness, falling asleep on their laps.
Yisen turned his head to look at Munni lying beside him, the golden sunlight falling on her still beautiful face. He opened his lips and softly said, "Thank you for being the heroine of my love story, and thank you for accompanying through all the beautiful tis."
Munni smiled warmly.
She did not finish this dream, as she was awakened by her phone on the bedside table at midnight.
She reached over to the bedside table, picking up the phone, and squinted at the unfamiliar number on the display. The number was not dostic; it seed foreign.
Guessing that Yisen, who was in France, might have an urgent matter, she didn’t think much and swiped her thumb across the screen, answering the call.
"Hello." Her voice was light, carrying a hint of drowsiness.
A deep voice ca from the other end, but it wasn’t Yisen’s, "Is this Munni?"
Munni furrowed her brows slightly, wondering who would call her so late, "Yes, who is this?"
"I am Zhang Chufeng." The person on the other end briefly introduced himself.
Munni was slightly stunned, Zhang Chufeng, wasn’t he her mother Zhao Yaru’s stepson? Why would he suddenly call her at this hour?
Unfond of Zhang Chufeng, her voice subconsciously turned a bit colder, "What’s the matter?"
Zhang Chufeng didn’t show any dissatisfaction with Munni’s cold attitude, he answered seriously, "Well, I wanted to inform you of sothing."
Even through the phone, Munni could sense Zhang Chufeng’s heavy mood on the other end.
