When the two walked into the living room, Bai Wan Yun was sitting on the sofa arranging flowers, while Mr. Xu, Xu Haotian, was sitting beside her reading a book.
Hearing footsteps, Bai Wan Yun looked up and saw Munni and Xu Yisen approaching, and smiled warmly, "Yisen, Munni."
"Mom, Dad, Munni and I are going out for a bit."
Bai Wan Yun nodded, a sly smile flitting across her brow, "What for?"
Xu Yisen, knowing she was asking knowingly, replied with a grin, "A date."
His answer made Bai Wan Yun, who was already happy, beam even more, "Go on, have fun."
Mr. Xu resud reading, gazing at his book, and instructed, "Take care of Munni."
"Aren’t you being a bit too blatantly biased?"
Bai Wan Yun set down the scissors and placed the arranged flowers in the center of the coffee table, "You’re safe-looking, but Munni is too pretty. I’m worried the daughter-in-law we’ve finally found will be lured away."
Xu Yisen was montarily speechless; they truly were his own parents.
Listening to the three’s conversation, Munni stifled her laughter and gently nudged Xu Yisen’s waist with her elbow.
Xu Yisen glanced sideways and saw Munni slightly smug, raising her eyebrows at him, as if saying... I’m soone with backing. If you neglect , I’ll report to your mom and dad.
Xu Yisen held her hand, affectionately scratching her palm lightly.
"We’ll head out now."
Bai Wan Yun nodded, "Go, enjoy yourselves."
"Okay."
As they left the Xu Family, the sun had just set, and the last rays of dusk cast a gentle glow on their figures.
"What do you want to eat?"
"Let’s go to Yu Qingyuan, I want to have the ran Fujino makes."
"Alright, sure."
They drove into the city for over twenty minutes before reaching the Yu Qingyuan restaurant. Because they didn’t inform anyone that they were coming today, the employees in the restaurant were a bit surprised to see Munni and Xu Yisen dressed so casually.
The deputy manager, Dong Chujun, who happened to be by the counter, greeted them and then mischievously teased Munni, "Boss, are you and Chairman Xu wearing matching outfits?"
Munni raised her brows slightly at him, "Are you curious?"
"Yeah, I’m quite curious."
"Since you’re so curious, I’m not telling you."
"...!"
Munni chuckled softly without further teasing Dong Chujun, and she and Xu Yisen found a quiet corner to sit.
Dong Chujun followed them closely, arriving at their table to take their order personally. After that, instead of leaving, he stood there, holding the tablet used for taking orders, with a smile on his face that was hard to decipher.
