Hanging up the phone, Munni tossed the mobile aside and lowered her gaze.

Yisen vaguely heard their conversation during the call but still asked a bit uncertainly, "Did sothing happen at the restaurant?"

"Yeah, soone ca to sabotage again, but they were caught."

Last ti Munni’s store was smashed, the police quickly found out the perpetrators were two loyal fans of Yu Ge.

Both Yisen and Munni felt that the incident had sothing to do with Xia Weifu, but since there was no evidence, they had to let it go.

When the police interrogated the two fans about whether they had accomplices, they unanimously shook their heads to deny it.

Since the two liked to be fence-sitters, Yisen naturally obliged them, providing their past criminal history to the police, which led to both being sentenced to three years.

Unexpectedly, after the last incident, soone dared to hit the spearhead again this ti.

Yisen picked up his phone and sent a text ssage to Tang Haoliang, asking him to greet the police and go all out.

After putting down the phone, he drew Munni into his arms, gently kissed her forehead, and said softly, "Sleep."

Munni nodded and fell back into sleep.

...

After being restless for most of the night, when Munni woke up it was nearly noon, and Yisen, who had been sleeping beside her, was no longer in the room.

The scenes of passion and confusion from last night flashed uncontrollably in Munni’s mind, causing a faint blush to spread across her fair face.

She lifted the quilt, revealing the ambiguous marks on her skin leftover from last night’s lovemaking with Yisen.

She went to the bathroom for a shower, tidied herself up, changed clothes, and went downstairs to the kitchen to pour a cup of warm water to drink.

Aunt Bai was in the kitchen preparing lunch with the maid. Seeing Munni walk in, she smiled tenderly and said, "Munni, good morning."

"Good morning, Aunt Bai."

"I’ve specially prepared lunch. Later, you can take it to the company and have lunch together with Yisen."

Aunt Bai pointed to the lunch, already packed in a bento box on the side, and then took out a kraft paper bag, putting the bento boxes inside one by one.

"Yes, okay."

She finished her warm water and heard Aunt Bai suddenly asking as she washed the glass at the sink, "Did the restaurant get sabotaged again last night?"

Munni turned off the tap and nodded, "Yeah, it’s already handed over to the restaurant manager to deal with, not much loss."

"Well, that’s good. Let Yisen hire a female bodyguard for you. What if sothing happens when you’re out alone?"

"Nothing will happen, don’t worry about ."

Munni smiled as she picked up the kraft paper bag containing lunch, playfully saying, "Thanks, Aunt Bai, for being so good to ."

Aunt Bai affectionately tapped her nose and said, "Why say thanks? We’re family."

Without any pretension, Aunt Bai’s casual and friendly words made Munni chuckle.

"Quickly go deliver lunch to Yisen. The driver is already waiting at the door for you. By the way, there are so baked cookies in the top four small bags; you haven’t had breakfast, so eat so if you get hungry on the way, and please give two bags to Secretary Wang and Secretary Tang."

"Yes, okay, I’ll head out now."

"Be careful on the road."

"Yes."

After saying goodbye to Aunt Bai, Munni went upstairs to get her purse and then took the car to the company to deliver lunch to Yisen.

Feeling bored in the car, she took out her phone to browse Weibo, initially thinking that it was Yisen who had told Aunt Bai about the restaurant being sabotaged again last night, until she opened Weibo and found out that it seed everyone already knew.
