Her report was undoubtedly a tily rescue, saving Xia Yuge, who was close to losing her last shred of patience.
Xia Yuge hurried to her feet, thanked Wang Ruoran, and eagerly headed out of the lounge.
Wang Ruoran turned to watch Xia Yuge’s sowhat hurried figure departing, the corners of her lips lifting into an almost imperceptible hint of sarcasm.
As Xia Yuge left the lounge, she surreptitiously glanced at the ti on her wristwatch; she had waited for Xu Yisen in the lounge for a whole hour.
Though it was long, she finally got to see him.
Her mood improved considerably, and she smiled, stopping by Tang Haoliang’s desk to extend a friendly greeting.
However, compared to her enthusiasm, Tang Haoliang’s faint, nodding smile seed rather indifferent.
Xia Yuge didn’t let his attitude bother her and continued walking towards Xu Yisen’s office.
Tang Haoliang redirected his gaze back to the computer in front of him, his raised brows unconsciously revealing his displeasure towards Xia Yuge.
Xia Yuge arrived at Xu Yisen’s office, politely knocked on the door, waited for Xu Yisen’s response from inside, then turned the doorknob and entered, closing the door behind her.
Xu Yisen was seated behind the desk, knowing who had co even without looking up.
Xia Yuge placed her bag on the sofa and approached Xu Yisen.
As her footsteps grew nearer and finally stopped, Xu Yisen slowly raised his head to look at Xia Yuge across the desk, his expression unreadable.
"What is it?"
Xia Yuge nodded slightly, her delicate almond eyes gleaming with tenderness as she gazed at Xu Yisen, "Yisen, it’s been a long ti."
The smile on her face was gentle and graceful, and her voice carried a hint of nostalgia.
"Hmm." Xu Yisen nodded lightly, without further response.
"I hope the recent news about hasn’t troubled you, and thank you for keeping this secret safe for so many years as promised."
Xu Yisen slowly leaned back in his chair, his deanor sowhat lax.
He clearly understood why Xia Yuge had co to see him, but watching her struggle to say her purpose directly was amusing to Xu Yisen.
Hence, his gaze carried a hint of irony, as if watching a good show.
However, Xia Yuge didn’t realize how amusing her current deanor was in Xu Yisen’s eyes. She assud Xu Yisen had relaxed.
"Munni isn’t angry with you about this, right?" She asked cautiously, looking at Xu Yisen with a hint of concern.
Xu Yisen shook his head, "No."
"That’s good."
Xu Yisen seed sowhat impatient to continue sparring with her, sitting upright again, he asked, "What is it you need?"
Xia Yuge perceived the impatience in Xu Yisen’s tone, thus she bit her lower lip, displaying an embarrassed look, hesitating for two seconds before gathering her courage to speak, "Yisen, I want to ask you for a favor."
Xu Yisen lifted his brow slightly, even though he knew exactly what favor Xia Yuge wanted, he pretended not to know and feigned ignorance.
"What?"
"A few months ago, I started a modeling studio. Yesterday, it was reported for supposedly engaging in pros——titution, can you help find a backdoor to smooth things over?"
Xu Yisen’s expression gradually turned serious, his gaze deep and sowhat cold as he looked at Xia Yuge, "Did you organize pros——titution?"
