The words "our ho" rolling off Xu Yisen’s lips seem naturally effortless and matter-of-fact.
However, the movents of Qin Muni’s hands paused almost imperceptibly before she nodded, "I know."
After packing up the lunch boxes, Qin Muni placed them one by one back into the lunch bag, picked up the bag from the couch, and stood up with the lunch bag in her other hand.
Xu Yisen also stood up from the couch, and habitually patted her on the head, "Be careful on the road, see you tonight."
"Mm."
Qin Muni left the headquarters of Fanshu Group, planning to return to the restaurant, but on a whim, she drove towards ho instead.
Xu Yisen’s birthday party is tomorrow, and Qin Muni had already started decorating to create a more festive atmosphere for the party.
She had invited a few party planners to her ho to help with the decorations, so when she arrived at the Fanluo Residence underground parking lot, the planners were already there waiting for her.
Qin Muni got out of the car, greeted them, and then led them to her ho.
Since the party was not large and only needed decorating in Qin Muni’s living room and kitchen, though her living room and kitchen were spacious, compared to other large party venues, it was really nothing.
They spent most of the day decorating the house, creating a solemn birthday party ambiance.
After seeing off the planners, it was already evening. Qin Muni took a shower in the bathroom of her room before heading to Xu Yisen’s ho.
After ringing the doorbell for a while, no one ca to open the door, so she guessed Xu Yisen probably hadn’t gotten off work yet.
After hesitating for a while, she finally entered a familiar sequence of numbers on the password lock at the door.
After entering the password, the lock beeped, and the door was unlocked.
Qin Muni turned the doorknob and walked into the house.
When Xu Yisen returned ho from work, it was already eight in the evening. As he opened the door and saw the brightly lit room, he paused for a mont.
However, upon seeing Qin Muni’s shoes at the entrance, a soft curve unconsciously appeared on his lips.
He changed into indoor slippers at the entrance and walked into the living room.
The television in the living room was on, but there was no sign of Qin Muni, so he moved his steps into the kitchen.
Qin Muni was standing at the counter washing vegetables. Hearing the footsteps, she looked up and smiled warmly at Xu Yisen who had just entered the kitchen.
"You’re back? Dinner’s almost ready, why don’t you go take a shower first?"
"Mm." Xu Yisen nodded but didn’t turn to leave for the bathroom. Instead, he walked towards Qin Muni.
He bypassed the counter, ca to Qin Muni’s back, and hugged her from behind.
His arms wrapped around her slender waist, his chin rested on her shoulder.
"Munni, thank you."
Coming ho and seeing the house no longer in darkness but brightly lit,
no longer empty, but with a woman in the kitchen cooking for him, an instant feeling of warmth and happiness surrounded him.
As he spoke, the warm breath from his nostrils fluttered against Qin Muni’s neck, causing an itch.
She curved her lips, slightly puzzled by Xu Yisen’s sudden thanks, "Thanks for what?"
"Everything."
