Qin Muni naturally also showered the two adorable kids with affection, but she was a bit curious about Xu Yisen’s sudden offer to pick them up.
"Why did you suddenly decide to pick up Xinxin and Ruirui?"
Xu Yisen answered Qin Muni’s question with a gentle tone, "My cousin and his wife are going on a vacation this weekend, so they asked to help take care of Xinxin and Ruirui this weekend."
It was only then that Qin Muni rembered today was Friday, and the weekend was just around the corner.
Xu Yisen quickly glanced sideways at Qin Muni before focusing again on the road ahead, "Let’s take them out to play this weekend."
It had been a while since Qin Muni played with the two little ones, so she didn’t reject Xu Yisen’s suggestion. She nodded, "Alright, sounds good."
Indeed, Xu Yisen’s cousin and his wife were going on vacation, and Xinxin and Ruirui were originally left in the care of Xu Yisen’s uncle and aunt.
However, Bai Wan Yun, wanting to inspire Qin Muni’s maternal instincts, suggested that Xu Yisen bring Xinxin and Ruirui to his ho for the weekend, and invited Qin Muni to take the kids out to play together.
Maybe this would trigger Qin Muni’s maternal feelings, and she too would want a child.
Of course, Xu Yisen naturally wouldn’t tell Qin Muni about this.
The car finally ca to a steady stop after driving for over forty minutes, arriving at the entrance of a private elentary school.
On Fridays, students get out an hour earlier than usual, so the timing of their arrival was perfect right as the elentary school dismissed.
Xu Yisen parked the car in the parking lot and, together with Qin Muni, got out and went to Xinxin and Ruirui’s classroom to pick them up.
Since their parents had already inford them that they would be spending the weekend at Xu Yisen’s ho, the two were not surprised to see Xu Yisen and Qin Muni coming to the classroom to pick them up, but were rather delighted.
"Uncle, Auntie," the two called out to Xu Yisen and Qin Muni sweetly.
Xu Yisen bent down to pick up the petite Xinxin, smiling, "Haven’t seen you two for a while, you’ve grown quite a bit taller."
He held Xinxin with one arm while reaching out with the other to take Ruirui’s hand.
With Ruirui’s right hand being held by Xu Yisen, and his left hand by Qin Muni, the four of them together left the classroom and headed towards the parking lot.
Walking alongside Xu Yisen, Ruirui seed excited about Xu Yisen’s comnt on his growth, "Uncle, I want to grow taller than you and find a wife as pretty as Auntie."
Xu Yisen looked down at the little guy who was just six years old and said rather proudly, "Your Auntie is the most beautiful. No one can be as beautiful as her, let alone more beautiful."
"Then I’ll find soone just a tiny bit less pretty than Auntie."
"Sure, go for it."
The childish conversation between the two amused Qin Muni, causing her to glance at Xu Yisen walking beside her with a smile.
Just then, he happened to also turn his gaze towards her, and as their eyes t, they both smiled warmly in sync.
Once they reached the parking lot and found the car, Xu Yisen let go of Ruirui’s hand, opened the backseat door, and carefully placed Xinxin, whom he was carrying, onto the booster seat in the back, thoughtfully fastening her seatbelt.
He turned around wanting to lift Ruirui into the backseat as well, but when he turned his head, he saw the little guy wearing his backpack, opening the front passenger door in a gentlemanly manner.
With a beaming smile, he motioned to Qin Muni, "Auntie, Mom says it’s gentlemanly for a man to open the door for a lady."
