Ji Nanqing amusedly chid in, "It’s a fact that you’re a rich woman, isn’t it?"
Qin Muni propped her chin with one hand and glanced sideways at Xu Yisen sitting next to her, speaking with a hint of resignation, "Destined as a rich woman, yet lacking the luck to keep a pretty boy. Life is indeed challenging."
"Well, although you can’t keep a pretty boy, you have such an outstanding fiancé, which is fate’s compensation for you."
"Even though I’m not completely satisfied with this compensation, I guess I have to reluctantly accept it."
Xu Yisen was amused by her helpless expression, and he gently reached over to pinch her nose.
Ji Nanqing and Patrick, sitting opposite the two, exchanged a glance unconsciously, feeling sowhat annoyed by their public display of affection.
"Hey, there are people sitting across from you. Could you stop flaunting your love so blatantly?"
The two finally took it easy, and after the four ordered, they enjoyed a pleasant lunch.
After the al, Ji Nanqing and Patrick had plans with friends and left first. Qin Muni and Xu Yisen had no plans and drove directly back to the hotel after lunch.
Today’s temperature was very low, with the cold wind biting like needles on the skin, making one feel very uncomfortable.
The heater in the car kept the chill outside.
Qin Muni sat in the passenger seat, holding a plush bear and gazing at the bleak scenery outside.
Pedestrians on the street were all wrapped up tightly, walking briskly towards their destinations.
Neither Qin Muni nor Xu Yisen tried to start a conversation, so Xu Yisen reached out to turn on the radio.
Inside, the female host’s sweet voice reminded everyone that today had a low temperature, a high chance of snow, and to dress warmly when going out.
Upon hearing the weather report, Qin Muni was sowhat excited, "Will it really snow today? That’s so exciting."
Xu Yisen controlled the steering wheel with his left hand and reached out with his right hand to hold Qin Muni’s left hand resting on her leg.
Perhaps from being in the cold wind earlier, her small hand was quite chilly.
Xu Yisen enveloped her hand with his large palm, the warm temperature slowly transmitted through her skin, warming her previously cold hand bit by bit.
"I checked the weather forecast this morning. It said there’s a fifty percent chance of snow today."
"The first snowfall of this winter is finally coming. If it snows, let’s build a snowman together, shall we?"
"Sure."
The drive from the hotpot restaurant to the hotel halfway up the mountain usually takes more than twenty minutes. However, a traffic accident extended their journey.
Because of the accident, the road was completely jamd, and Qin Muni leaned back in her seat, gazing at the sowhat overcast sky, hoping for the snow to arrive quickly.
After ten minutes of standstill, traffic finally resud.
Xu Yisen headed towards the hotel smoothly, and as the car reached the base of the mountain, snowflakes suddenly fell on the windshield.
Qin Muni initially didn’t notice, until Xu Yisen softly reminded her, "It’s snowing."
She snapped out of her thoughts, sitting up straight to watch outside seriously, where indeed cotton-like snowflakes were dancing in the air.
"It’s snowing," she happily rolled down the window, extending a hand as snowflakes landed in her palm, quickly lting into snow water.
Seeing Qin Muni so delighted at the arrival of the snow, Xu Yisen slowed down purposely, noticing in the rearview mirror that there were no cars behind, allowing Qin Muni to imrse herself in enjoying the snowfall.
