Since today is Valentine’s Day, many couples have co to register their marriage. Besides them, Munni also spotted reporters who had initially gathered at the hospital entrance.
The car hadn’t even stopped when the reporters recognized Wang Ruoran’s car, and imdiately shifted their attention from the door of the Civil Affairs Bureau to the car that just parked.
Wang Ruoran got out and opened the car door for Munni in the back seat.
As soon as the car door opened, photographers incessantly clicked the shutter of their caras, the flashlights flickering nonstop.
"Miss Qin, are you and Chairman Xu planning to get your certificate today?"
"How is Chairman Xu’s condition and when will he be discharged from the hospital?"
"You and Chairman Xu agreed to hold a press conference, but why hasn’t it been held yet?"
"It’s heard that the truck driver hasn’t been caught by the police yet. What’s your opinion on this?"
Having waited for over a month without being able to interview Munni and Xu Yisen, the reporters were like hunters who suddenly found their prey, excitedly throwing out their questions.
"Please make way."
Since they left the hospital without bodyguards, Wang Ruoran naturally had to shield Munni to prevent being jostled by the reporters crowding around them.
In response to the reporters’ questions, Munni pursed her lips without answering and struggled to follow alongside Wang Ruoran through the crowd into the Civil Affairs Bureau.
Xu Yisen sat in the most conspicuous spot in the lobby, waiting for Munni. As he saw Munni and Wang Ruoran entering the lobby, the faint smile on his face suddenly turned into a bright grin, then he raised his hand and waved at Munni to show where he was.
Couples there to register, along with the staff, cast curious glances at Xu Yisen sitting in a wheelchair with a drip still attached, and Munni walking toward him.
Munni felt that Xu Yisen really looked ridiculous; she sincerely wanted to pretend to not know this silly guy in front of her.
She walked up to Xu Yisen and gave him an exasperated look, "Aren’t you embarrassed?"
"Not embarrassed." Xu Yisen shook his head, smiled foolishly, and reached out his right hand to hold Munni’s, "Ex-wife, let’s remarry."
Munni looked down at Xu Yisen, seated in the wheelchair. His eyebrows were joyfully laced with a cheerful smile, and his deep dark eyes reflected an innocent childlike purity, as he gazed up at Munni like she was the most precious treasure in the world.
She spread her hands and replied with a hint of regret, "I didn’t bring the household registration booklet."
Upon hearing that, Xu Yisen gave a sly smile, and winked at Wang Ruoran, who was standing behind Munni.
Wang Ruoran chuckled and nodded, then opened her bag, took out a household registration booklet, and handed it respectfully to Munni.
Munni raised her eyebrow slightly in surprise, opened it, and it turned out to be hers.
"Sorry for stealing your household registration booklet without your permission." Xu Yisen spoke with so apology, his radiant smile tinged with a touch of charm, truly making it hard to get angry.
Xu Yisen obviously had everything prepared, only lacking Munni, he was determined to get the marriage certificate.
Munni didn’t seem displeased by Xu Yisen having Wang Ruoran ’steal’ her household registration booklet from her ho; she helplessly shook her head, "You really leave helpless."
Her tone carried no complaint, only sweet and playful affection.
Xu Yisen bead and added, "I promised to get the certificate on Valentine’s Day; how could I go back on my word? Besides, I also want to quickly see you with the title of Mrs. Xu."
