Secretary Wang and Secretary Tang arrived at Munni’s ho shortly after.
Both of them were pushing suitcases, filled with belongings left at the hospital.
They also carried several shopping bags, filled with ingredients Munni had asked them to pick up from the nearby supermarket via a text ssage.
Tang Haoliang placed the shopping bags on the counter one by one, and Munni gratefully said, "Thank you all for the trouble. Please sit in the living room—would you like sothing to drink?"
"Water is fine."
"Alright, sure."
Munni poured two cups of warm water from the water dispenser, taking them to Tang Haoliang and Wang Ruoran in the living room. Then she asked, "Did you eat yet? Should I prepare sothing for you?"
Wang Ruoran took the glass and said, "Madam, we just ate, thank you."
"Okay, feel free to chat, I’ll go to the kitchen to put the ingredients in the fridge."
"Need any help?"
"No need, you guys chat."
Munni sorted the ingredients Tang Haoliang helped buy into categories in the kitchen and put them in the fridge.
anwhile, Xu Yisen, Tang Haoliang, and Wang Ruoran were chatting about recent developnts at the company. After a while, Wang Ruoran suddenly turned to Xu Yisen with a mischievous smile and said, "Chairman, they say misfortune brings unexpected fortune. Looks like you’re quite lucky here."
As she spoke, she sneakily gestured towards the kitchen, obviously implying Munni.
Tang Haoliang chid in, "I agree, Chairman. You wouldn’t believe how busy your wife was while you were unconscious, juggling the visits from those sly old folks and appeasing your mother and grandmother."
"Yes, when your wife woke up after a day of coma, the first thing she did was visit your ward, then summoned Secretary Tang to the ward to discuss many matters."
"I must say, you must have saved the galaxy in your past life to find such a wife. Better not scare her away again."
"I agree with that. Your hard-won wife shouldn’t be scared off again."
Their teasing left Xu Yisen feeling amused. Finally, he chid in and interrupted them, joking, "Honestly, did Munni bribe you guys?"
"Not at all."
"Just for a cup of water, you speak up for her like this?"
"It’s the truth. We’re just reminding you because sotis those in the situation can’t see clearly while we, as observers, see the need to alert you."
Despite their serious faces, making it seem they weren’t joking, Xu Yisen couldn’t help but want to laugh.
He chuckled softly, their favoritism towards Munni was too obvious.
"Got it. I’ll treat my wife well and not scare her away anymore. Satisfied?"
That’s likely because Xu Yisen’s personality has changed, allowing them to speak so candidly; otherwise, they wouldn’t have dared say these things before.
Upon hearing this, Wang Ruoran looked satisfied, nodding as if encouraging a promising student, and promised, "Chairman, if you need help with wooing your wife in the future, feel free to consult ; I’ll ensure your wife is utterly chard."
"Haha." Xu Yisen chuckled.
Not staying long, Wang Ruoran and Tang Haoliang teased Xu Yisen a bit more before sensibly leaving, not wanting to intrude on his and Munni’s private ti.
After seeing them off, Xu Yisen strolled to the kitchen and saw Munni preparing to bake cookies, planning to take them to Mrs. Wang for dinner at Mr. Wang’s house later.
