"Of course, it’s because I’ve spoiled her."
The deep male voice that suddenly appeared beside them caught both Munni and Yu Chen off guard.
Both of them looked up simultaneously and found Xu Yisen standing in the barbecue restaurant, in front of their table, without them noticing his arrival.
Munni stared blankly at Yisen, who was smiling gently at the corner of his mouth. She blinked lightly, with a mont of confusion flickering in her enchanting eyes.
Her gaze remained fixed on Yisen’s handso face, but Zhang Qi parted her red lips, sowhat puzzled, and said to Wu Yuchen sitting across from her, "Yu Chen, have I gotten drunk after only two bottles of beer? I’m hallucinating that Yisen is standing in front of , and I’m even hearing things."
Munni’s face was bare of makeup, her eyes clear like a stream as she looked at Yisen, her expression innocent like a child. Her adorable cluelessness made Yisen unable to help but laugh.
He reached out gently and patted Munni’s head, "You’re not drunk this ti."
Munni reached out slowly, touched Yisen’s hand, and then foolishly said, "Warm."
Yisen was amused by her nonsensical words, "Yes, it is."
The interaction between the two made Yu Chen find it funny. She lifted her gaze to look at Yisen and said, "Since you’re here, you should take your wife ho; my husband is still waiting for at the hotel."
"Let take you back."
"No need, just take Munni back. I’ll get a cab myself."
"Be careful on your way, text when you get to the hotel."
"Okay, I know."
Wu Yuchen stood up from her chair and, looking down at Munni, mimicked Yisen’s earlier gesture by gently patting Munni’s head, "See you in the morning, bride-to-be."
"Yes, see you in the morning. Take care on your way."
After Yu Chen left, Yisen paid the bill and, holding Munni’s hand, also left the barbecue restaurant.
The parking lot was a short distance from the restaurant. Yisen glanced at Munni, who was walking beside him with a smile tugging at her lips.
The silvery moonlight made her already delicate features appear even softer. Two rosy blooms spread across her cheeks, as lovely and alluring as peach blossoms in early spring.
"You’re marrying tomorrow. Do you have any words of gratitude?"
Upon hearing this, Munni looked up at Yisen for a mont, then lowered her gaze to the ground. The moonlight stretched their shadows as she curved her lips and teased, "I said all my words of gratitude the first ti we got married, so I don’t really have much to say now."
"But I have so words of gratitude. Would you like to hear them?"
"Go ahead and tell ."
Yisen slightly lowered his head to glance at Munni, then turned his smiling gaze toward the road ahead.
A trace of gentle tenderness lingered between his picturesque brows, and a series of soft ripples spread through his starry, serene eyes.
"I always thought of myself as a selfish person. I never expected to fall in love with soone so deeply, more than I love myself. Previously, I thought love was both beautiful and cruel, making hesitate often when it ca to love.
Thank you for loving so earnestly and persistently all these years, thank you for patiently and kindly accepting all my flaws, thank you for not leaving and allowing to fall in love with you and discover a better version of myself.
I never knew before that loving soone could be such a wonderful thing. No matter how bad my mood is, just looking at the person I love makes my heart feel very soft.
