Jian Chunqiu chuckled upon hearing this, "Are you saying that in another tiline, right after you got married, you were asked for a divorce?"
Chu Ge looked at Jian Chunqiu with speechless eyes, what’s so funny about that?
"Uncle Jian, shouldn’t we be worried that there might be another issue with the Ti-Space Mirror?"
That’s the real concern. It’s been a long ti since he experienced mories from his other self in the alternate tiline.
Suddenly rembering without any reason surely ans soone has tampered with the Ti-Space Mirror again.
Jian Chunqiu also beca serious. Indeed, why didn’t he realize this earlier! Furrowing his brows, he pondered for a mont, "It seems we can’t delay any longer."
Every extra minute they wait brings another minute of danger; no one knows exactly what’s happening with the Ti-Space Mirror.
"But we haven’t heard back from the Man Yue Clan yet. If we force our way in now, wouldn’t that just make us look suspicious?"
Chu Ge voiced his doubts, sighing lightly as he massaged his forehead, "All we can do now is silently pray that the Ti-Space Mirror doesn’t have any major issues."
"And you think there’s not going to be any major problem even though people are missing?"
Jian Chunqiu looked at Chu Ge in disbelief.
Chu Ge pondered for a mont before slowly speaking, "Uncle Jian, I’ve always been puzzled about one thing: Why did only Nangong Man Sha disappear in this ti-space disorder? If it really was chaos, logically there would be news reports. But there’s been no news whatsoever, not even a hint of a cover-up, right? Yet there hasn’t been any indication."
Jian Chunqiu looked at him suspiciously, "You an..."
"I have a bold guess, which is that Nangong Man Sha’s disappearance is not a coincidence."
This issue had been on Chu Ge’s mind for a long ti. He always felt Nangong Man Sha’s disappearance wasn’t an accident, or rather, it was a conspiracy by soone, because it was too strange. Why did the ti-space rift only take Nangong Man Sha away and not affect anyone else?
Jian Chunqiu knew Chu Ge’s intuition was always accurate, but given their current circumstances, they couldn’t afford to think too much. They could only suppress this thought for now and wait to investigate after they got out of there.
"So we still can’t leave right now?"
Jian Chunqiu asked.
Chu Ge pondered for a mont, nodded, "Personally, I think we still can’t leave right now."
At this mont, Black Bear returned from outside. As he entered the resting area, he saw Chu Ge and Jian Chunqiu standing by the window discussing sothing.
Black Bear glanced over at them, then shifted his gaze to Ming Chong. After a brief look, he withdrew his gaze.
Chu Ge cast a disinterested glance at Black Bear, then continued speaking with Jian Chunqiu, "Uncle Jian, I know what you’re hesitating about. But have you considered that even if there’s a problem with the Ti-Space Mirror, by the ti we reach there, it might already be too late? But what if there’s no problem?"
Jian Chunqiu looked at Chu Ge with furrowed brows, "If there’s no problem and we end up causing a conflict with the Man Yue Clan now, it would only make our relationship even more strained."
Chu Ge nodded, "That’s exactly my thought. So what we need to do now is remain calm and refrain from any reckless actions."
Jian Chunqiu sighed lightly, "I feel ashad that I can’t even match your thinking right now."
Chu Ge chuckled, "Uncle Jian, you’re just considering too many things, so you didn’t think of it for a mont. Besides, the matter involving Man Sha doesn’t really have anything to do with you, so it’s understandable if you’re not as focused on it."
Jian Chunqiu laughed lightly, sighing, then looked sideways at the people resting on the ground.
"What do you think we should do now?"
Jian Chunqiu asked curiously, "We can’t just do nothing, right? I feel like doing nothing is really wasting ti."
Chu Ge curled his lips into a calm smile, "If we don’t do sothing, it would feel like we’re wasting our ti."
"Do you have a plan?"
Jian Chunqiu asked curiously.
Chu Ge nodded, "I do have a plan in mind. This person is obviously targeting Ming Chong, so we need to leverage Ming Chong sowhat."
Jian Chunqiu looked at him in puzzlent, "Leverage Ming Chong? But..."
Ming Chong is very laid-back, hardly the type to let anyone control her, and there are tis when she doesn’t even listen to Chu Ge.
Chu Ge sighed lightly, "Ming Chong has her own choices and consciousness; we can’t force her to do anything."
His plan wouldn’t work if Ming Chong was unwilling to act.
"Why not talk to her? Maybe she’ll agree."
Jian Chunqiu searched around, finally finding Ming Chong in a corner. She was chatting with Lin Dong and Long Ang, seemingly playing a ga, thoroughly enjoying herself.
"Ming Chong seems less averse to Lin Dong now."
Jian Chunqiu suggested, "Maybe if you talk to her, she might be willing."
Chu Ge nodded slightly, "We’ll just have to go with a ’wait and see’ approach now."
He looked over at Ming Chong in the corner, smiling slightly, and then approached, saying, "Ming Chong, co over here."
Upon hearing Chu Ge call her, Ming Chong put down the stone in her hand and cheerfully ran over to Chu Ge, "Do you want to play with us too?"
Chu Ge chuckled, reaching out to indulgently tousle her hair, "I’m not playing. I have sothing I want to talk to you about. Would you co outside with big brother for a bit?"
Ming Chong let out an ’oh’, following Chu Ge, and they left the resting station together.
Chu Ge led Ming Chong to a corner. Although people from the Man Yue Clan were constantly watching them, it didn’t impede his communication with Ming Chong.
"Are we playing hide and seek?"
Ming Chong blinked, asking excitedly.
Chu Ge softly shook his head, "It’s not hide and seek, nor is it any ga. Big brother needs your help with sothing."
Ming Chong tilted her head, "Help? What kind of help? I can help big brother."
"Only you can help with this, so will you help ?" Chu Ge asked, "The process might cause you so discomfort."
Ming Chong puckered her lips, appearing to be in thought. After a while, she nodded, giggling, "I can help; I can help big brother too. I’m a useful person now."
Chu Ge smiled knowingly, "Yes, you’re a person who can help others now."
"Soone is trying to harm us, but I don’t know who they are. So we need you to put up with a bit of trouble to catch them."
Chu Ge couldn’t directly tell Ming Chong that the person was after her. Doing so would certainly upset Ming Chong, thus ruining his plan.
Ming Chong nodded, looking up at Chu Ge, and curiously asked, "What do you need to do?"
