"Huh?"
"You’re new here, aren’t you?" The cleaning lady started mopping, "I haven’t seen you before. I’ve been with this company for ten years, and I know everyone here."
"..."
"If you want so water, young lady, go ahead and pour so. Then leave quickly, or your boss will see you and scold you."
"Ma’am, I’m here to work."
"Of course, I know you’re here to work. Outsiders can’t co in here; there’s a card reader at the front door, and outsiders can’t enter without an appointnt!" The cleaning lady said with a smile.
The cleaning lady gave Nangong Yang a friendly, kind impression. "Ma’am, I an I’m here to work in the tea room!"
"What? Did you upset your boss, young lady?"
If she really had upset them, being sent to the tea room would make sense. Nangong Yang was still completely bewildered.
"No." Nangong Yang looked at the cleaning lady innocently.
"Last ti, a young girl wrote so data wrong in a docunt and was punished by being sent to the tea room to do hard labor," the cleaning lady said. "If you haven’t offended them, then why are you here?"
She shook her head...
The cleaning lady finished mopping, "Alright then, take a break here, there’s nothing much to do right now." With that, the cleaning lady left.
Nangong Yang took a closer look at the small tea room, even here hung a piece of Bai Juyi’s "Tea."
What a poetic and artistic company! Yet they treat new employees so poorly!!
At the very least, soone should tell Nangong Yang what she’s supposed to do, right?
Not a single soul around! Even the cleaning lady left! Sigh, sitting alone daydreaming, mind wandering far...
I wonder what Huang Puchen is doing right now? So curious... Just as she was getting lost in thought, sounds ca from outside...
"What’s up with the manager today? Why such a big fuss?"
"Who knows."
"Probably tried to make a pass at Secretary Li again and got shut down?"
A group of people were chatting up a storm as they entered the tea room, glanced at her, and went straight to the kettle, "Eh? Where’s the water?"
One of them looked at her and asked.
"Haven’t even made the coffee," another one complained.
"Don’t you know you’re supposed to have these things ready before we arrive?" soone shouted at Nangong Yang.
"Right, if you can’t even make tea, why did the company hire you?"
"You’re new here, right? Haven’t seen you before."
Nangong Yang stood up and looked at them, just about to say sothing when the cleaning lady rushed in, saying, "Sorry, sorry, I had a stomachache just now and got delayed. Don’t bla her, it’s nothing to do with her."
The cleaning lady took full responsibility, implying there was water in the dispenser, and if there was no coffee, they could just drink plain water.
"There’s water in the dispenser; if you want it hot, it’ll be done soon." She couldn’t stand people who act so arrogantly using false authority!
"Where did this wild girl co from? What’s your problem here?" one of the heavily made-up won said.
This woman’s makeup, really! Does she co out to play ghost?
"I am an employee here! This tea room! I’m in charge!"
"Oh wow, where in the world did this great figure co from, daring to be so bold as a re tea server!"
Soon, the small tea room was filled with people alongside their loud argunt. The cleaning lady tried to calm things down, but the won were quarreling with Nangong Yang, and sohow the manager was called in.
"What are you all doing here? Have nothing better to do?" The manager barked at the group of onlookers.
Hearing the manager’s voice, the group quickly left the tea room, leaving only the troublemakers behind.
The four won seed quite intimidated by the manager, lowering their heads and not knowing where to place their hands anxiously.
"Fighting? Keep at it then? Weren’t you all so righteous just now?" The manager barked at them. It seed the manager was really in a bad mood, "And you!" the manager pointed at Nangong Yang, "You just got here and already causing a ss. Can’t even boil water! I really don’t know why the company hired you!"
Nangong Yang rolled her eyes several tis in her heart, no one even told her what she’s supposed to do!
"All of you, stand out in the corridor!"
This isn’t a school! Are we really doing standing punishnts? Seeing them obediently head to the corridor, "Didn’t you hear what I said!" the manager shouted at Nangong Yang again!
Fine then! Shouting so loudly, are you afraid others won’t know you’re disciplining people!
...
Passing by the four actual troublemakers, she gave them a hard glare! Causing Nangong Yang to be punished too! They didn’t even say until when they had to stand there, if it’s until after work, won’t this spot be seen by many people? She sighed silently in her heart, hoping Huang Puchen wouldn’t see.
Yet, the one who saw in the end wasn’t Huang Puchen, it was soone else.
Half an hour later, the elevator doors opened, and a man in a black suit, elegant and refined, walked out. Nangong Yang absentmindedly looked at her toes while a small commotion arose among the people beside her.
"Look, look, he’s looking at us."
"He’s coming over, oh my god, has he finally noticed ?"
"He’s noticed , not you."
"Who said, it’s !"
The man stopped in front of Nangong Yang; she thought it was the manager and looked up with a face of defiance. Upon seeing who it was, she wished she could find a hole to hide in. What you fear truly cos to pass; she stamred.
"Chu... Chu Ge?"
Nangong Yang looked at Chu Ge in surprise, suddenly recalling that Chairman Zhang ntioned yesterday that Chu Ge would co today, not for work but to participate in the biotech developnt.
"Co with ." Chu Ge said firmly.
"Oh." Nangong Yang obediently followed behind, not wanting to go but being called away.
As they passed in front of them, she noticed them seemingly sending flirtatious glances at Chu Ge!? She made a ghost face at them, straightened her back, and turned to follow Chu Ge into the elevator.
Chu Ge pressed the elevator button, and Nangong Yang stood next to him, sneaking glances at him. She had never seen Chu Ge dressed like this before, looking more youthful in casual attire than formal wear. At this mont, he seed like a high and mighty king, inspiring awe.
No wonder Han Wanwan likes him. Such a person indeed commands respect.
"Why were you punished to stand here?" Chu Ge asked calmly.
Nangong Yang recounted the incidents that happened in the tea room to Chu Ge.
"They assigned you to work in the tea room?" Chu Ge asked.
The point isn’t where to work; the point is your subordinates are so difficult, can’t they work without coffee or tea? That’s the real issue!
"Yes." Nangong Yang nodded quietly, feeling sowhat wronged inside.
The elevator stopped on the 18th floor, and Chu Ge walked out first. Was Nangong Yang seeing things? Why did it seem like the warmth in Chu Ge’s face disappeared, replaced by a cold expression...
