Though she made up the appointnt with Han Wanwan to trick Chu Ge, she had nothing planned at all. But hearing Huang Puchen’s tone, like an order from a superior to a subordinate, still made her feel a tinge of sourness.
"What are you thinking about?"
Seeing her lost in thought, Huang Puchen couldn’t help but ask, "What are you thinking about so intently?"
Nangong Yang snapped out of it, shook her head, "Nothing, just reminiscing about the past, thinking about our first eting. Feels like yesterday."
"So what were you rembering just now?"
Nangong Yang shook her head, "Nothing."
"I still have other things to do today, so I won’t be going. Please let your mom know."
After saying this, Nangong Yang turned and walked away.
Huang Puchen pressed his lips together, then looked into the shadows, "Co out."
Chu Ge erged from the corner. Initially, he didn’t intend to eavesdrop, just happened to pass by and hear their conversation.
He could see there was sothing between Huang Puchen and Nangong Yang.
"You’re the new one?" Huang Puchen stared at Chu Ge coldly.
Chu Ge smiled, "You got it wrong, I’m not new. I’m your business partner."
"Looking forward to it."
Huang Puchen cast one last chilly glance at him, then turned and left.
Chu Ge wasn’t sure if it was his own misperception, but he sensed a hint of hostility from Huang Puchen.
He silently shook his head, it seed he had been mistaken for his imaginary rival.
But he truly misunderstood . I approached Nangong Yang not because of any inappropriate thoughts, but because I saw in Nangong Yang, the shadow of my past with Mu Bingtong.
He rembered it was still during the university days, and before he knew it, they had reached the age where they were about to go in their own directions.
Back then, Mu Bingtong was either in class or shopping. She secretly joined the school’s dance team without Chu Ge knowing, but made little progress. Her decisiveness remained, and under the influence of her friends, her dressing style slowly ceased to be androgynous.
