The Fifth Space-Ti.
Chu Ge sat silently on the mountaintop, wearing an ancient costu he’s still not accustod to, gazing into the distance.
Behind him was the result of the past few days spent with Ye Liang, a modern two-story wooden cabin.
Now, he has been in this space-ti for nearly two months, and during these two months, he has been cultivating non-stop, but recently he has discovered sothing.
That is, his martial arts have unknowingly started to decline.
Chu Ge felt a bit perplexed. Even though he had traveled to another space-ti, his martial arts shouldn’t vanish, nor should they be sealed. Lately, not only has he felt his martial arts starting to slip, but even when transmitting energy, he feels sowhat distracted.
"Chu Ge, co over, it’s ti to eat!"
At that mont, Ye Liang’s voice called out. Chu Ge turned to look at Ye Liang. During this period of interaction, Chu Ge felt that Ye Liang was not a simple person.
Every ti people from Marquis Ye Mansion ca looking for trouble, she could easily turn them away. The key thing was, she seed to know and understand him very well, which didn’t seem like a reaction a stranger would have.
During this ti, Chu Ge asked her several tis if they had known each other before, but Ye Liang always denied it.
This made him sowhat suspicious. It’s not that he doesn’t trust people, but many things are just too coincidental.
Now, having been in the Fifth Space-Ti for two months, a normal person would think of finding a way back, but Ye Liang didn’t seem hurried at all. In her words, since they were here, they should make the best of it. But the more she acted like this, the more puzzled he felt.
Ye Liang called Chu Ge for a long ti without getting a response, so she curiously walked over and patted him on the shoulder, saying, "Chu Ge, what are you thinking about? It’s ti to eat."
Chu Ge smiled, "Nothing, just thinking about how to get ho."
A shrewd light flashed in Ye Liang’s eyes, and she subtly curved her lips, "After all this ti, you still want to go ho?"
Chu Ge slightly lowered his eyes, speaking as if to both Ye Liang and himself, "Don’t you want to go ho at all?"
Ye Liang awkwardly laughed, "What’s the use of wanting to go ho? Look at us now, can we make it back? Can you find a way back?"
Chu Ge side-eyed Ye Liang, so suspicion flashing in his eyes. He always felt there was so secret Ye Liang wasn’t telling him.
"Ye Liang, are you hiding sothing from ?"
Chu Ge asked, intently staring at Ye Liang.
Ye Liang felt a shiver under his gaze, thinking to herself that he couldn’t possibly have recognized her, right? But upon second thought, she deed it unlikely.
"What nonsense are you talking about? What could I be hiding from you?" Ye Liang smiled awkwardly.
Chu Ge turned back to continue staring into the distance, a faint smile on his lips, "I was just saying it casually, you don’t have to take it seriously."
"..." Ye Liang’s palms had already broken into a cold sweat. She felt that if they continued to be together, Chu Ge might see through her disguise.
Moreover, the three-month mark was approaching, and if the master hadn’t taken control by then, she would automatically return. When that ti cos...
Ye Liang didn’t dare to think further.
After a while, Chu Ge stood up and said to Ye Liang, "Let’s go, isn’t it ti to eat?"
This al left Ye Liang feeling very disoriented. She watched Chu Ge eat with gusto; ever since they started cooking on the mountain, all their als ca from wild herbs gathered by Chu Ge, a mountain delicacy.
However, there was one thing that left her curious and sowhat frustrated. She had started to slowly poison Chu Ge, but noticed no change in his body; even the slowest poison should have so reaction.
While eating, Chu Ge noticed soone continuously watching him from the side. He curiously looked up at Ye Liang, catching her retracting gaze, "Ye Liang, do you have sothing you want to say to ?"
Ye Liang cleared her throat, "No, nothing."
"You’ve seed a bit off these past few days, have you encountered sothing troubleso?"
Chu Ge asked again.
Down the mountain, plenty of people at Marquis Ye Mansion were displeased with Ye Liang and constantly sought trouble in various ways. Although Ye Liang rebuffed them each ti, dealing with such frequent occurrences was indeed annoying.
"Not really, I just wanted to ask if you’ve been feeling unwell recently?"
Ye Liang asked cautiously. Maybe his body was reacting, but he hadn’t ntioned it. If that were the case, she wouldn’t know when to execute her plan. If delayed, it could ruin the master’s strategy, and she’d be to bla.
Chu Ge looked at her puzzled, "Why are you asking that?"
Ye Liang smiled awkwardly, "Nothing, I’ve just been feeling a bit exhausted lately, so I wanted to know if you have similar symptoms."
Chu Ge glanced down at their food. Ever since they had built their kitchen, they hadn’t eaten anything sent by others. Poisoning the food was practically impossible.
Besides, who would poison their als? If soone poisoned him, he should be able to detect it.
After mulling it over, Chu Ge finally said, "Actually, I’ve been feeling the sa. I thought it was just an adverse reaction to arriving in this space-ti."
Ye Liang felt a bit excited inside. She knew her poison couldn’t have no effect, so Chu Ge was faking all along!
This thought cald Ye Liang quite a bit. She laughed, "So you’re having the sa reaction, that’s good to know. I thought those people from down the mountain had poisoned to deal with ."
Chu Ge didn’t respond, eating quietly, though he had other thoughts.
Even Ye Liang had such a reaction, indicating soone was ddling behind the scenes. Earlier, he had suspected Ye Liang, but it seed he was overthinking.
But who was scheming in the shadows? And why? It remained a mystery.
Staring at the bowl of white rice before him, Chu Ge lost the desire to continue eating.
He got up and said to Ye Liang, "I’m full."
With that, he stood and walked out.
He left the house and climbed to the mountaintop, hands clasped behind his back, quietly watching the scene below.
His mind replayed Ye Liang’s recent words. If they were indeed being plotted against, and the perpetrator didn’t poison their food, then from where?
Chu Ge furrowed his brows, feeling sowhat frustrated. Finding a way back was already difficult enough; being rendered helpless here added to his unease.
