1000: Chapter 1000: Confronting the Water Bandits 1000: Chapter 1000: Confronting the Water Bandits Water bandits’ ships, although not large, moved very quickly.

They attacked the governnt warships from the flanks, bombarding them with roaring cannons that continuously exploded against the hull.

A group of small boats, like a pack of wolves devouring an elephant, sank five or six governnt ships in the sea within monts.

Lin Shanshan exclaid in surprise, “My God, do these ships actually have cannons?”

Long Fei was also full of surprise; logically speaking, this world should not have cannons.

But the sound he had just heard was unmistakably that of a cannon, and Long Fei could clearly see the cannonballs fired were as large as waterlons.

These cannons were similar to the smoothbore cannons of the dieval world outside.

Ji Wanyu, being from the Royal Family, couldn’t bear to see the official warships being humiliated here.

She said gloomily, “Shall we go down and lend a hand?”

Murong Chong, Long Fei, and Liuu Jiangnan exchanged glances, and before they could speak, Ji Wanyu had already let the giant eagles dive down with her.

Long Fei smiled, thinking that the princess still had a hate-for-evil nature.

Such incidents, he thought, happened daily in the Great Xia Dynasty; it was actually quite normal for the Official Families.

A group followed Ji Wanyu down, diving directly toward the largest governnt warship.

This warship, spanning three to four hundred ters, naturally had spies for defense.

As a group of giant eagles descended, the sound of ox-horn bugles resounded from the ship.

A group of soldiers imdiately stood on deck, pulling back their ox-horn bows, aiming into the sky.

Five thousand ters, one thousand ters, five hundred ters.

The giant eagles continued to descend, the moisture from the water mixing with the wind noise continuously sounding.

Ji Wanyu used her spiritual power to shout, “I am the Ninth Princess of the current Crown Prince, the Princess of Pure Tranquility; you all lower your arrows imdiately!”

The leading officer, staring intently and with furrowed brow, waved his hand and commanded, “Without my orders, no one is to release arrows.”

The only way to prove one’s identity among the many princesses and princes was by the token made of Yu Emperor’s Black Gold.

Both the civil and military officials and the Imperial Family and Nobility were equipped with tokens of the sa tal quality.

When the giant eagles descended to a hundred ters, Ji Wanyu threw down her token.

The officer below caught it with a wave of his hand; it held the Royal Family’s spiritual imprint, which, once held, transmitted its information directly into his mind.

He, surprised, imdiately signaled to his subordinates, “Yes, it’s the Ninth Princess, prepare to welco her!”

The group sheathed their bows and arrows and bowed respectfully.

As each giant eagle landed, one couldn’t help but notice—without comparison there was no harm.

Standing in front of the soldiers, the giant eagles stood a full head taller than them, their imnse figures resembling elephants standing before humans.

Ji Wanyu and Long Fei, along with their party, dismounted, instructing the giant eagles to fold their wings to avoid frightening the surrounding soldiers.

The leading officer imdiately ca over to greet them, “Your Royal Highness The Princess, what brings you here?”

Ji Wanyu replied, “We were passing by and saw you encountering so trouble, so we ca over to see if there’s anything we could help with.”

She asked the officer, “Which troops do you belong to, and who are you fighting?”

The officer responded with a salute, “I am Wang Shouren, General of Eastern Zhenzhou, Yuzhou.

I am tasked with eradicating the Yellow River Water Bandits, led by Wang Tianba.

Unexpectedly, these people have sturdy ships and powerful cannons, leaving us unable to retaliate.

Please, Your Highness, leave quickly to avoid any harm from these villains.”

Liuu Jiangnan explained to Long Fei the military ranks of this world.

In the Nine Provinces of the Great Xia Kingdom, each province had troops stationed by the Imperial Court.

There were four generals in these troops, respectively the Generals of the East, West, South, and North.

These generals held a two-rank official position, managed by the Ministry of Military Affairs.

Long Fei looked at the general, who was at the Initial Stage of Core Formation.

In this world, their Cultivation Level wasn’t very high, but it counted as quite remarkable among ordinary people.

While they were speaking, a giant iron ball streaked through the air, creating sparks, and hurtled towards the warship like a teor.

Wang Shouren exclaid in alarm, “Your Highness, quickly dodge!”

He imdiately ordered his subordinates, “Find cover to hide.”

The Emperor Yu’s Sword flew out from Ji Wanyu’s Storage Ring, striking the iron ball with a slash.

A Mysterious Light shone in the sky, and with a loud boom, it collided with the iron ball, the powerful Sword Qi instantly turning the iron ball into powder.

A group of soldiers were startled by Ji Wanyu, not expecting Her Highness to be so formidable.

Long Fei asked curiously, “The water bandits have cannons, surely your governnt forces aren’t without them?”

With sha, Wang Shouren said, “This is the first ti we’ve seen such a thing.

We heard that the Water Bandit leader, Wang Batian, received help from a group of experts.

We don’t know where they got these formidable firearms from.

We were caught off guard and suffered heavy losses.”

“How interesting!”

Long Fei smiled.

It felt like a ti traveler had joined the bandits, catching the governnt forces completely unprepared.

Ji Wanyu asked Wang Shouren, “Catch the leader first if you want to defeat the enemies.

Which ship is the bandit chief on?

I’ll kill him.”

Wang Shouren hastily tried to stop her, “Your Highness, you are far too valuable for us to let you take such a risk.”

“Stop your nonsense.

If you keep prattling, they might wipe you all out,”

Ji Wanyu said urgently.

Wang Shouren touched the cold sweat on his forehead, seeing Ji Wanyu’s earlier actions and knowing her Cultivation Level was profound.

He pointed to a large black ship in the distance, “That’s the command warship.

All orders are issued from there.”

Ji Wanyu looked and, on the masts over fifty ters high, soone was continuously waving a Command Banner, directing the battle.

Ji Wanyu stepped into the air and imdiately crossed over with her sword in hand.

Murong Chong and Long Fei followed her with a wry smile.

The command warship was tightly guarded.

Seeing figures approaching, the sound of an Ox-Horn trumpet was imdiately raised.

The soldiers on board instantly pulled their bows, releasing a barrage of arrows towards Ji Wanyu and her group.

The dense arrow rain, made of Black Gold, was as fast as lightning.

It was clear that these water bandits were extrely formidable, capable of releasing thousands of arrows in an instant.

Wang Shouren watched anxiously from behind, his pupils dilating, fearful for the princess’s safety.

Unexpectedly, a man behind her suddenly intervened, casually flicking his sleeve forward as if swatting a fly.

The arrows suddenly buzzed and flew back the way they ca.

A crackling sound followed, like hail falling from the sky, cascading onto the water bandits’ command warship.

“What the hell!”

“Take cover!”

“What’s happening?”

Screams erupted, and within monts, hundreds were hit with arrows, bleeding profusely and dropping into the rapid river like dumplings.

Ji Wanyu turned back and pouted at Long Fei, seemingly displeased that Long Fei had stolen her thunder.

She could have dealt with that small amount of arrow rain herself.

On the ship, a man was sitting on a tiger-skin chair, enjoying fine wine, with two stunningly beautiful won serving him.

Seeing the situation, he frowned suddenly, stood up, and yelled towards the sky, “Which Cultivator is ddling in our business here?”

He grabbed a large tiger-headed saber, and alongside a group of experts, they all looked intently into the distance.

Ji Wanyu led the way, followed by Long Fei and others, halting about fifty ters away in the air.

She yelled at the ship, “Which one of you is Wang Batian?

Co out and face your death.”
