Chapter 1325: Chapter 1325: Two Living Treasures
“Seventy years, a rarity in the ages past—reaching seventy is a milestone in life, highly valued in most families.”
Lin Yingying had been worn out from being pestered by Long Fei the entire night. In the morning, her body felt weak and sluggish, and she laid in bed for a long ti, reluctant to get up.
Long Fei, on the other hand, was full of energy. He got up early, took a shower, and even went to the kitchen to cook breakfast.
Little Kirin ca downstairs after getting dressed, sat in the kitchen, and unhappily asked Long Fei, “Dad, were you fighting with Mom last night?”
Long Fei, holding a frying pan, put it down and frowned at Little Kirin, “Why would you ask that? What fight?”
Little Kirin pouted and said, “Don’t lie to . I heard Mom yelling. She was going ‘Ah! Ah!’ in pain. If you didn’t hit her, who did?”
“Huh?”
Long Fei looked montarily embarrassed. He brought over a plate of stir-fried shredded pork with cilantro, placed it in front of Little Kirin, and said, “What do kids know? Your mom was too exhausted last night, so I was giving her a massage!”
“Really?”
Little Kirin didn’t look convinced.
Long Fei awkwardly lied, “Of course, it’s true! I’m so fond of your mom, how could I possibly hit her?”
“Alright, I’ll let it go this ti!”
Little Kirin pouted, looking like he was doing Long Fei a favor by not arguing further.
“You nosy little rascal! From now on, no eavesdropping on us at night!”
Long Fei chuckled and flicked his nose, thinking to himself that given this kid’s extraordinary abilities, he’d have to send him to the mother-in-law’s place whenever there was “business” to attend to.
Little Kirin stood on tiptoes, sniffed the aroma wafting from the plate, and curiously asked, “Dad, what kind of at is this? It slls amazing!”
Drooling uncontrollably, he—a kid raised on all sorts of gourt delicacies—had surprisingly never encountered this kind of at before.
“This is dragon at. Try it and see if you like it.”
Long Fei chuckled as he turned down the fla on the stove.
The stockpot with the Phoenix Brocade Carp soup was bubbling gently, its milky broth releasing an irresistible fragrance. Only a hint of scallion and ginger had been added to remove the fishy odor, with no extra seasoning, yet it slled absolutely divine.
Even Lin Yingying, lounging in bed, couldn’t help but twitch her nose. She flipped over, got up, threw on her pajamas, and ca out yawning.
Little Kirin excitedly shouted at her, “Mom! Co here quickly! Dad says this at is dragon at. You have to see this!”
Lin Yingying pulled her hair into a loose bun and sat down across from Little Kirin.
Her complexion was rosy, her deanor lazy yet alluring, exuding the charm of a mature woman with every gesture.
Long Fei had prepared a table full of at dishes early in the morning, along with a pot of fragrant Spirit Rice from the Secret Realm.
“So this is what dragon at looks like?”
Lin Yingying picked up a piece of shredded pork with her chopsticks and had a taste. She’d eaten Azure Dragon at before, but this at seed finer in texture and tasted sowhat like fish.
“Is it good?”
Little Kirin asked, drooling, but he didn’t dare pick up his chopsticks since Long Fei hadn’t started eating yet.
This was sothing Lin Yingying had taught him, and he’d eaten many a chopstick blow for not following this rule. Now he was very well behaved.
Lin Yingying took a deep breath, swallowed the at, and nodded excitedly at Little Kirin, “It’s delicious! This dragon at tastes extraordinary—why is it so different from before?”
“Of course, it’s exceptional. This is purebred Fish-transford Dragon.”
Long Fei explained as he unfastened his apron and walked out of the kitchen, sitting down next to Little Kirin.
“What kind of dragon is that?”
Lin Yingying seed unfamiliar with this creature.
Long Fei explained to her, “Fish-transford Dragons are fish that have beco Azure Dragons. Many creatures evolve toward the Dragon Clan’s form during cultivation—so are crocodiles that transform into dragons, others are snakes, and so lizards. Among all these dragons, only the Fish-transford Dragon’s at is the most exquisite.”
“There’s so much nuance to this?”
Lin Yingying served herself a bowl of rice, ignoring Little Kirin’s hungry gaze, and began eating heartily.
Little Kirin protested, “Mom, you’re so selfish! How can you just eat by yourself? Can I start eating now?”
“Ask your dad!”
Lin Yingying fiercely pulled the plate over to her side. Little Kirin, desperate, grabbed his chopsticks and tried to snatch so.
Long Fei laughed and said, “Can’t we have so decorum? I’ve got plenty of dragon at in my Storage Ring—enough to last you an entire year!”
This at ca from the Third Prince of the South Sea himself. That guy had talked a big ga but was defeated by Long Fei in just three moves.
The Third Prince happened to be a genuine Fish-transford Dragon—a Golden Carp from the sea turned dragon. His at not only had the texture of dragon at but also the fragrance of fish.
Each bite was like chewing on a firm, bouncy jelly candy—an experience both chewy and flavorful, utterly delightful.
Whether stead, braised, or stir-fried, this at was incredibly aromatic and mouthwatering.
The three of them ate heartily. Lin Yingying, holding her bloated stomach, complained, “Why on earth would you make this so early in the morning? Now my dieting plan for the next few days is completely ruined!”
She had eaten over half the plate of dragon at and consud most of the pot of Phoenix Brocade Carp soup, her belly visibly swollen and close to bursting.
Long Fei chuckled and said, “Why diet at all? You look cuter with a little chubbiness.”
“Get lost!”
Lin Yingying raised her fist. Lately, perhaps because of her pregnancy, her body had been growing rounder.
Her once-flat stomach now had a softness to it, enough to pinch a handful of flesh.
Little Kirin grumbled, “You’re dieting, yet you ate so much. Thanks to you, I barely got anything!”
Lin Yingying smacked his head and scolded, “You unfilial brat! How dare you fight your mom for food?”
“Dad, look, your wife hit again!”
Little Kirin complained.
Long Fei shook his head with a smile. He didn’t know what to do with this mother-and-son duo.
Adults acting like children, and children acting like adults.
He cleaned up the dishes, assuming the role of a quintessential househusband, and went to the kitchen to wash up.
Lin Yingying humd a tune as she went to the bathroom to freshen up.
Little Kirin hopped around behind Long Fei, poking his head in and quietly whispering, “Dad, isn’t it supposed to be the won who do the housework in other families?”
Long Fei coughed lightly and said, “What do you know? I ate too much, so I need to move around. According to an authoritative study, n who enjoy doing housework tend to live longer.”
“Really?”
Little Kirin raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical.
The father and son finished tidying up the kitchen, changed their clothes, and went outside for so fresh air while waiting for Lin Yingying to co out.
Little Kirin stomped on the snow in the courtyard. Just over a ter tall, he hopped around with a chubby, baby-like face that was utterly adorable.
He muttered with his little mouth, “Mom is always like this. I’m going to be late, and she’s still stuck in the bathroom. Once she’s in there, she’s in for at least two hours. Always so vain!”
“That’s just how won are. You’ll understand when you grow up.”
Long Fei sat on an outdoor chair, lighting a cigarette. To him, this was nothing unusual anymore.
Little Kirin countered, “Who said so? Little Tiantian isn’t like that. At school, she helps get my lunch. During napti, she puts out my bedding. And when class ends and we hang out, she’s always the one waiting for .”
“Oh, really?”
Long Fei rubbed his head and forced a laugh. “That must be your irresistible charm.”
“Finally, you noticed?”
Little Kirin smugly flipped his hair, striking a vain pose. “The girls at school all say so. Sigh, being so handso can be such a burden. Unlike you, always flattering Mom and embarrassing yourself as a man!”
“You little rascal!”
Long Fei laughed, grabbed a snowball, and threw it at him, marveling at how narcissistic this kid was starting to beco.
