In the central continent, there is an ancient quarry.
The pit is gigantic, over a thousand ters deep and spans several kiloters.
It was said that sothing ominous was unearthed from the pit, leading to its abandonnt before being converted into a Heavenly Prison.
The mine’s top and bottom are carved with countless tunnels.
There are over a thousand in total, resembling a building, layered and varied in depth.
So mine shafts extend over hundreds of thousands of ters, while others are over a thousand ters long.
Cages are excavated on both sides of these shafts.
The doors are forged from the mine’s iron ore, a bluish hue of iron said to be unbreakable even by an Immortal King Sword.
Long Fei was locked in the lowest level, Mine Shaft No.9. The jailer led him down with a sly grin, saying, "Congratulations, young brother! It’s the first ti in many years that soone so young from the Human Race has been sent to Mine Shaft No.9. Why not tell your last words? You can also give your Storage Ring, or else you may not leave any remains or treasures behind."
Long Fei chuckled, "I’ve been an orphan since childhood, and my Storage Ring is empty. If you don’t believe , you can probe it with your Divine Sense?"
He raised his hands, shackled with the bluish chains.
The jailer snorted, "Do you think I’m a fool? Would anyone imprisoned here be without so prowess? I’ve heard you led fifty to sixty thousand troops to attack the Jiang Family Ancestral Court and even forced the Jiang Family Ancestor to retreat. Who knows what kind of prohibition is in that Storage Ring. If my Divine Sense probes it, wouldn’t it be obliterated?"
"You’ve heard of that?"
Long Fei sighed, shaking his head and mockingly said, "I was thinking of dragging soone down with in my death, but I didn’t realize I was so famous!"
"You cheeky kid, indeed you’re up to no good!"
The jailers exchanged glances and beca very vigilant against Long Fei.
One of the jailers cursed, "You brat, are you still thinking of getting out alive? To tell you the truth, this cave is filled with the fiercest demonic spirits and ghosts. Anyone who enters is devoured without a trace. Look closely, prisoners in other shafts have single cells, but here in Mine Shaft No.9, it’s communal."
As they reached the entrance of the shaft, a chilling, blood-scented underground wind swept out from within.
A group of jailers shivered involuntarily, unlocking over a dozen doors with their keys before walking hundreds of ters inside.
One jailer, trembling, opened the last door and shoved Long Fei inside, shouting, "Once inside, the prohibition allows entry but no exit. Don’t think of turning back; one step back and you’ll be pulverized."
He pulled the door shut, frantically locking it.
Soone shouted at Long Fei, "Brat, if you throw out your Storage Ring and hand over any good stuff you’re hiding, we can relay a ssage to your family, so at least soone knows you died here."
"No need for that; it’s only a vacation for a couple of days here, and I’ll be out,"
He showed an innocent smile, walked a hundred ters ahead, and the prohibition lights glowed alongside for a hundred ters.
This hundred ters indeed held a strong prohibition.
One could only move forward inside, with no possibility of retreat.
If one reversed, the prohibition would instantly shred them to pieces.
His voice echoed in the cave, only to be followed by a howling roar, as a fierce monster appeared and swallowed him whole.
The jailers scread in terror, "Run for your lives!"
"It’s the Heaven-Swallowing Spider!"
"That brat is dood!"
"He didn’t even make it inside before dying?"
"..."
The jailers slamd the door shut and fled like the wind, releasing a sigh of relief only upon seeing sunlight in the quarry.
They hurriedly spread the news as if they’d received top-secret information.
"The leader who attacked the Jiang Family was eaten by the Heaven-Swallowing Spider!"
"Swallowed right at the entrance, we saw it with our own eyes."
"Pitiful, not even bones left behind!"
"It was tragic, truly tragic. Luckily, we escaped quickly; we could have lost our lives too!"
"..."
The group, pale with fear, was still shaken when they t their colleagues outside.
The news spread like wildfire, swiftly circulating through all the Celestial Realms City.
Even the Seventh Princess within the palace walls got the news. Listening to Li Jinxuan’s startled recounting, she jumped up imdiately.
"Is this true?"
She was a little skeptical.
Li Jinxuan said, "It’s true, that’s what everyone is saying outside. I even inquired with Father, and he’s saying the sa. Even if that brat is miraculously not dead, once inside the cave, he can’t survive. It’s filled with fierce bloodline Demon Clan, so are even ancient fiends left from the Ancient Era, extrely domineering and fierce. Even a Divinity Transformation expert can’t gain an advantage in there."
The Seventh Princess’s heart raced, anxiously saying, "How can Father be like this? He’s a talent, after all, shouldn’t he be grood no matter what! No, I’m going to plead with Father."
Li Jinxuan stopped her, saying, "Dear Princess, it’s no use. Mine Shaft No.9 has always been a place of no return. Even if the doors are opened now, he can’t co out. Because inside, there’s simply no way back."
The Seventh Princess clutched her hands, pacing circles in the room, muttering to herself, "What do we do? I finally found a friend I liked, and now we’re soon to be separated by Yin and Yang? And him, of all people, staying put the whole night, what was he waiting for? He could have escaped that night and all would be fine?"
Li Jinxuan was stunned by her reaction, wondering if she had developed feelings for him.
She quickly comforted, "Princess, don’t worry yet, let go out and find more information for you."
"Go, hurry."
The Seventh Princess nodded urgently, regretting her quarrel with him that day, and now not even being able to see him one last ti.
The news reached the Outer Sect of Heaven-Piercing Palace, and a group of admiring disciples wailed, "It’s a tragedy to lose such a talent!"
"Our Outer Sect finally had a genius, and now he’s just gone like that?"
"It’s such a pity, I didn’t even get a chance to follow the boss! If I had stuck with him, there must have been lots of benefits!"
"Boss, you haven’t even shared your insights on the Heaven-Piercing Nine Swordplay with us! How could you leave like this?"
"Beauty fades, and heroes fall short. You see, it’s better to be a little cowardly. Being too rigid, you’ll suffer sooner or later."
"..."
So were dejected, so elated, so were wailing, and others found it a joke.
Bai Fengling, dressed in mourning clothes, with red eyes, found her sister, saying, "Sister, I want to mourn for Senior Brother Hengyuan at the Heavenly Prison. He has no family here, he can’t beco a Wandering Soul and Wild Ghost!"
Bai Fengwu stopped her, saying, "Don’t rush, this matter hasn’t been confird yet. That guy has great luck; even the Jiang Family Ancestor couldn’t suppress him; how could he die so easily?"
"But that’s what everyone is saying!"
Bai Fengling was crying uncontrollably.
Bai Fengwu said, "What everyone says isn’t always right, there’s sothing fishy about this, it’s not as simple as it seems."
She felt Long Fei’s behavior was odd; he had plenty of opportunities to leave throughout the night, yet he stayed to cooperate with the investigation and arrest. This indicated that he was confident and had sothing to rely on.
