Now reading: Chapter 642 - 642 642 Phantom Warship Part 3 from The Beautiful CEO’s Dragon Blood Bodyguard, a Urban novel by Ancient West Wind.

642: Chapter 642: Phantom Warship (Part 3) 642: Chapter 642: Phantom Warship (Part 3) Fat Wang was the first to shout, “I see them, a group of Dongying soldiers.”

“That’s right, I saw them too.

They’re not human, they’re definitely spirits of the sea.”

Lu Buping added.

Zhang Yinyang stated seriously, “There’s a rumor that when people die at sea, their Spirit Souls don’t enter the Underworld, but rather join the Gui Xu Country.

I wonder if that’s true?”

Li Zhenni was baffled, not knowing what they were talking about.

The warship was huge, and Long Fei and Chu Feng had led their group down to the cabin to search around, to see if there were any other special discoveries.

Worrying about the presence of more Dongying Soldiers, Long Fei and Chu Feng told them to stay close behind and not to wander off.

Lest they get shot in the dark, which would be no laughing matter.

They were curious how these Dongying people had survived for such a long ti, still in the flesh.

They appeared not to be the mindless zombies, but rather, they had the thinking of their forr life.

It was just regrettable that they had been too brutal earlier and hadn’t captured one to study.

This ship should have shown signs of decay and deterioration after floating at sea for so many years.

But the wood floorboards, paper, and other leather items were all intact.

The ti could have been no more than a month, as there were no signs of weathering.

In the cockpit, they found a logbook belonging to the captain.

Holding the logbook, Fat Wang exclaid with excitent, “I think we’re about to uncover the secret of the ghostly warship.”

The others rummaged through chests and cabinets, also finding quite a few docunts.

After arranging these items, they stared at each other and all turned to look at Li Zhenni.

No one present understood the Dongying language.

Li Zhenni cleared her throat twice, raised her fair neck, and snatched the logbook from Fat Wang’s hand to take a look.

She opened it, picked out the key parts, and read aloud to the others, “January 1945.

Arica had already completely taken the initiative on the Pacific battlefield; the navy of Dongying was nearly annihilated.

Our Jade Helix Warship had not been completed but was hastily dispatched from the shipyard, hoping to contribute to the efforts of the Emperor.”

After flipping through a few pages and furrowing her brows, she continued, “15th August 1945, the great Emperor, to our astonishnt, unconditionally surrendered to Arica.

The entire crew of the Jade Helix Warship chose death over surrender and resolved to go down together with the Arican fleet.

In an encounter, we finally sank a rchant ship flying the Arican flag.

Those damned foes, their firepower was even fiercer than ours.

We suffered heavy casualties with less than fifty soldiers left on the warship.

I ordered a retreat, planning to fight again when the opportunity arose.

Due to a navigator’s error, we strayed into a strange place.

There were no signals, no navigational markers, not even the stars in the sky could be seen.

All around was enveloping fog, at tis, I felt as if we were all drifting in the clouds.”

“Now, I don’t know what the ti is, everything on the ship that could display ti is malfunctioning.

Our food is about to run out, there’s no fresh water, nothing to eat, we are facing a crisis like never before.”

“Today, the starving soldiers finally broke down.

One shot himself, and the others, far from stopping him, threw themselves upon him and ate him.

First officer Genichi Ichiro even cut off a piece, and I, a grand admiral of the Empire’s navy, couldn’t resist eating it in the face of starvation.”

Reading up to this point, Li Zhenni couldn’t help feeling a bit nauseous.

She hastily flipped through a few pages and continued reading, “Food is scarce, and we have completely run out of things to eat and drink.

Everything on the ship that could be eaten, even belts, clothes, blankets, have all been cooked and consud.

Today, I finally made the last decision of my life, to commit harakiri.

We have shad the Emperor and the Great Empire of Dongying.

While Arica ravages our holand, we have beco deserters.

Tonight, we will all show our ultimate loyalty to the Emperor together.”

Everyone thought the diary would end there.

Little did they know, the unexpected broke the pattern.

Li Zhenni turned to another page, her hands trembling as she continued to read, “Oh Emperor, Celestial Illumination Deity, why must we suffer this curse?

Last night, we all committed harakiri together, yet co dawn, we had all resurrected.

What in the world is happening?

We no longer feel hunger, we no longer feel pain, we don’t even feel the difference between n and won anymore.

We have completely beco ghosts, spirits wandering over this vast sea.

We are not content, tonight we shall commit harakiri once more!”

“Oh Emperor, we have resurrected again!

Why, why must you tornt us like this?”

As Li Zhenni read this, despite the tragedy, Long Fei and a few other utterly disgraceful people couldn’t help but snicker.

Li Zhenni couldn’t help but laugh as well before turning to the next page, continuing to read, “Daylight turns to darkness.

We cannot perceive the existence of ti, as if this place is the end of ti itself.

We do not know where to go, to what place we should return, as if we are to be imprisoned here for eternity.

Our warship is clearly sailing in the sea, but we cannot feel the presence of the ocean.

We sent people to probe below the ship, and as the rope was lowered, it fell from the sky back onto the deck.

A sailor gathered his courage and jumped off the ship, only to fall from the sky.

It seems we have co to realize that here, ti and space are completely twisted, as if we have entered a tunnel of ti.”

At this point, Li Zhenni was covered in cold sweat.

She could not control her trembling; she felt chilled, as if she was put among their ranks, a soul trapped in a coffin, not knowing when she would see daylight again.

Even with their strong wills, Long Fei and Chu Feng couldn’t help but furrow their brows at this, never having heard of such bizarre occurrences.

Fat Wang stuffed one hand in his pocket and the other shook his head in disbelief, “Strange, if they didn’t enter a ti tunnel, then how did they suddenly appear here?”

Li Zhenni cleared her throat and, shaking the nautical diary, continued reading, “Oh Emperor, could it be that sohow you are summoning us from the unknown?

Oh heavens, we have actually erged from the ti tunnel.

The clocks on the ship are working normally again, and we can hear the familiar sound of the waves.

But why, oh why is there still this cursed fog all around us?

We feel our bodies rapidly aging and decaying, and Genichi Ichiro, the first mate, had his head cut off by a katana fall off suddenly.

The worst part is, when he picked it up and put it back on, he didn’t die.

We can’t imagine such things, it’s as though we’ve truly beco immortal.

Could this be Celestial Illumination Deity’s blessing, calling us to conquer Huaxia and annihilate Arica?”

Long Fei and the others cursed, thinking these Japanese bastards truly never changed.

Having beco sothing neither human nor ghost, they still dared dream of invading Huaxia.

With just one missile strike, they could turn them all to ashes.

Suddenly, Long Fei and Chu Feng recalled that just a mont ago, there was a Dongying soldier whose head kept falling off.

He placed it back on his shoulders and was able to move about, probably this Genichi Ichiro.

The diary ended there, and Li Zhenni, still full of fear, broke out in a cold sweat.

Only then did she rember that the ones who had fired their guns were those who had beco the undying Dongying soldiers.

Chu Feng rubbed his head and said, “Strange, there was only one commanding officer among the Dongying soldiers just now, the first mate.

Where did the captain go?”

Long Fei’s eyebrows raised, sensing sothing was wrong.

He released his spiritual power, swiftly covering the entire warship.

In an armory filled with munitions, he suddenly saw the captain, his body emaciated, his eyes bulging, two rows of white teeth showing in a sinister smile.

He held a bomb in his hand, and scread coldly, “For the Emperor, we are finally going to show our ultimate loyalty!”
