Others stared blankly ahead, as if they were walking dead.
"It really is the Tomb of the Gods!"
Tang Jue exclaid imdiately.
The scene before them was a huge semicircular tomb, surrounded by four gigantic stone statues of fierce beasts.
The surface of the semicircular tomb faintly shimred with a tallic luster and exuded a chilling coldness.
Unknown runes were engraved on the tomb, and a terrifying pressure perated the air, overwhelming everyone.
Ye Chenfeng was the first to walk up to the tomb, where the prehistoric writings on the tombstone had long been erased, leaving only the word ’God’.
"Why can’t I feel the pressure from the celestial remains? All the pressure is from the stone statues beside us, which have been damaged and pose almost no threat to people."
Chen Yifeng said cautiously.
Ye Chenfeng frowned as he considered this problem; this didn’t seem like a tomb of deities.
"Old Chu! Old Ye!"
Han Wenhao exclaid, seeing Chu Fengyu and Ye Tiankuang at the other end of the tomb.
However, the two were lying on the ground, unconscious.
"They fainted but are not in any life-threatening danger."
After checking them, Chen Yifeng confird they were okay.
"Hmm, why can’t they wake up?"
Chen Yifeng voice his puzzlent.
"Let take a look."
Ye Chenfeng stepped forward to examine them, and gradually his brows furrowed.
"Their subconscious is awake, but their bodies are asleep. They seem to be trapped in so kind of illusion. I’ll try acupuncture."
Ye Chenfeng perford acupuncture.
"Ah!"
"Ah!"
Soon, Chu Fengyu and Ye Tiankuang both exclaid.
Everyone thought the two were about to wake up, but they unexpectedly fainted again.
"It’s fine; they are now truly unconscious. Don’t disturb them and wait for them to wake up to ask questions."
Ye Chenfeng said.
"Divine King, the tomb has been partially opened, likely by Chu Fengyu and Ye Tiankuang."
Tang Jue said.
"Alright, let’s open the tomb!"
Ye Chenfeng said in a deep voice and used imnse force to push the tomb open.
Everyone stood guard, fearing sothing unexpected might happen.
The tomb was opened, but nothing occurred.
"The tomb is empty."
Ye Chenfeng said indifferently.
"What?"
Upon hearing this, everyone was shocked.
"No wonder we didn’t feel the pressure from celestial remains, as there’s nothing inside."
Chen Yifeng realized.
Tang Jue analyzed: "Could it be this was always ant to be an empty tomb?"
Ye Chenfeng shook his head: "No, I believe soone stole the deity’s remains."
The doctor glanced at the Pirate King and said: "Are you sure all of the Pirate King’s treasures are hidden within the pyramids?"
"I’m sure, but I don’t know which pyramid they are in."
The Pirate King paced back and forth, looking around.
"Boss, isn’t that our mark?"
Suddenly, the Pirate King’s loyal subordinate exclaid in surprise.
"Huh?"
Hearing this, the Pirate King rushed over and indeed saw a small mark on the stone statue beside the tomb.
A headscarf with a skull and crossed swords—a distinctive pirate emblem.
But unlike usual, the swords looked bizarre.
"This is a unique mark of the Pirate King! The Pirate King has been here!"
The Pirate King exclaid excitedly.
Ye Chenfeng’s eyes flickered: "It’s no surprise that the contents of the tomb were plundered by the Pirate King. The Pirate King didn’t co here to hide treasures; he ca to steal. He simply vanished after stealing things."
"What? The Pirate King didn’t die here? He’s still alive?"
The Pirate King was shocked to the extre.
Ye Chenfeng nodded: "Yes, perhaps he’s now living under another identity."
"That bastard, causing my ancestors’ deaths!"
The Pirate King cursed angrily.
"Let’s leave!"
Under the lead of Ye Chenfeng, everyone left.
The group entered several pyramids in succession, finding either no tombs or empty ones.
In the end, they concluded that beneath the Sun Pyramid in the south, there were generally deities’ tombs, whereas the Lunar Pyramid at the north end of the Underworld Avenue was built several hundred years later, so it had no tombs.
Ye Chenfeng frowned deeply: "I fear any secrets here were already cleaned out by the Pirate King; there’s not even a trace left."
Then Ye Chenfeng raised a question: "No, given the tiline, the Pirate King absolutely ca here long before my father did, yet my father still made the journey, which ans the secrets of this place were not entirely taken by the Pirate King."
With a mindset of trying sothing, Ye Chenfeng guided the group to the west side of the Lunar Pyramid cluster, where a luxurious palace towered.
The surface of the palace was engraved with vibrant frescoes, and even after a millennium, the traces of the murals remained.
"I heard from my ancestors; this was the most prosperous palace here. It’s said that at the ti, the Pirate King sent people to plunder here."
The Pirate King recalled sothing and couldn’t help but speak.
"That ans there are no secrets here either."
Ye Chenfeng suddenly lowered his voice.
They went to several more places akin to palaces but still found nothing.
Then, they reached the south end of the Underworld Avenue, where there were housing clusters beside the Sun Pyramid.
"This should be where the priests lived."
Seeing the style of these houses, the doctor identified.
In the deepest part of the housing cluster lay a magnificent palace, nad the Sun Palace.
"This should be the palace of the highest priest, where the High Priest generally hid the race’s greatest secrets. I think, Divine King, you might find answers here."
The doctor analyzed.
Even after thousands of years, the Sun Palace remained grand.
Especially the sun emblem which was more stunning, seemingly shining brightly.
Entering the Sun Palace, everyone saw epic and vibrant murals, remarkably well-preserved.
Feathered serpent heads vividly realistic, butterfly-winged birds, the reliefs were brightly colored, seemingly breaking through walls to fly...
Various murals seed to narrate the forr brilliant civilization here.
"It doesn’t make sense; the murals and treasures of other palaces were all looted by the Pirate King, but here everything is intact, like they had never been here."
Ye Chenfeng stroked his chin.
"Let’s take a look inside!"
Ye Chenfeng led the way.
Han Wenhao and the others sighed and followed along.
They thought there might be so encounter here but found nothing.
Now their only hope was this Sun Palace.
Behind the palace was the High Priest’s sleeping chamber, still incredibly luxurious.
But it held more magic artifacts or runes, and apart from Han Wenhao and a few others, the rest naturally dared not touch them.
Ye Chenfeng was uninterested in these; he paced around the sleeping chamber.
Finally, his gaze locked onto the stone bed...
"Boom..."
Having found the chanism, Tang Jue opened it, causing the stone bed to rotate.
As the stone bed rotated, they saw a stone tablet pop up beside it, with a line of prehistoric text on it.
