As Zero touched the Ancient Scroll, bolts of lightning instantly erged, forming a powerful force striking Zero.
"Puff!"
The seemingly weak lightning directly injured Zero, causing him to spit blood.

Zero wore an expression of disbelief.
"Let try again!"
Zero, determined, stepped forward, a protective barrier naturally forming around him.

The lightning continued to strike but Zero, prepared, neutralized it.

Zero emanated a terrifying power, spreading a dreadful atmosphere.
"Boom!"
An invisible force struck like a giant hand, smacking Zero away.
Zero had no chance to counterattack, sent flying to crash into the stone wall.
Though he now acted openly instead of as an assassin, his terrifying strength remained.
Zero suffered another injury, as if facing an unbeatable master.
"Impossible, this Ancient Scroll cannot be retrieved, no matter your strength; the more force you use, the more it reflects back on you. Even your father was strong, but this situation was beyond him."
Zero analyzed.
Ye Chenfeng realized Zero was indeed hard by his own strength.
"Let try!"
Ye Chenfeng said gravely; if it was only electricity, he could handle it.
Ye Chenfeng cautiously reached for the Ancient Scroll, tense with anticipation to retreat at any mont.
"It’s impossible!"
Zero exclaid.
For Ye Chenfeng effortlessly grasped the Ancient Scroll, with no anomalies occurring.
More astonished was Ye Chenfeng’s easy retrieval of the Ancient Scroll.
Zero was stunned.
Ye Chenfeng was even more stunned.
Even Ye Chenfu hadn’t taken the Ancient Scroll, yet Ye Chenfeng had?
Holding the leather Ancient Scroll, Ye Chenfeng was baffled.

Zero was speechless.

"We must leave now!"

"You ca out so fast!"
Inside the High Priest’s chamber, Zheng Xinyi and others anxiously awaited.
Seeing Ye Chenfeng and Zero erge, everyone was stunned.
"Is everything alright here?"
Ye Chenfeng asked.
Zheng Xinyi replied, "It’s fine for now, but we heard a lot of noises, like animals."

Others agreed.

Ye Chenfeng said no more and led everyone away.
