He was very easy to take care of.

Zhou Yueshen also had an easy ti.

However, he was also the only man who took his son everywhere he went, and he could always feel the strange looks from others.

Zhou Yueshen didn't pay it any mind, though.

Just as he parked the car and walked into the house, he suddenly paused and slowed his steps.

All the lights in the house were off. Were they already asleep?

Going to bed so early today?

Feeling a bit puzzled, he walked inside.

The mont he pulled open the door and stepped inside, there was a pop, and confetti rained down on his head just as the lights flicked on.

The children were holding a small cake, grinning at him. "Happy birthday, Dad!"

Little Four jolted and almost fell. Before he even had ti to cry, he noticed his older brothers and sisters holding a small cake, and his eyes imdiately widened.

Coming to his senses, Zhou Yueshen didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "What is all this?"

Si Nian was holding a bouquet of flowers. It was obvious she had dressed up especially for today. Her long black hair was slightly curled and draped over her shoulders, and she wore a dress. With just the right amount of makeup, she looked incredibly charming and radiant.

His eyes flickered, and he set down his son, who was kicking his little legs, eager to see the cake.

Si Nian stepped forward with the flowers and handed them to him. "Happy birthday, Zhou Yueshen."

Zhou Yueshen couldn't hide the smile in his eyes. He had never received anything like this before. He hadn't cared in the past, but now, he felt a subtle shift in his mood, his heart incredibly full.

Leaving nothing but warmth.

He pulled Si Nian into his arms and took the flowers. "What made you think of celebrating my birthday?"

"I just wanted to, no other reason."

Zhou Yueshen chuckled softly and lowered his head to kiss her forehead. "Thank you. Sorry for making you all wait so late."

He had thought they were all asleep.

He didn't expect them to be holding back a big surprise.

Zhou Yueshen felt that all the exhaustion of the day vanished completely in this mont.

"Who are you being so polite to?" Si Nian reached out and pinched him.

Zhou Yueshen chuckled softly and didn't tease her further.

Everyone hadn't eaten yet; they had specifically waited for Zhou Yueshen to have dinner. However, because it was so late, they didn't eat much. After the al, the children ca over one by one to give him their gifts. They were all small items, and Zhou Yueshen accepted them all.

It was already very late by the ti they finished eating. Waiting up all evening had indeed been exhausting for them, especially the children who still had classes. Usually, they would be asleep by nine at the latest.

They cut the cake early on. After eating it and the excitent wore off, the children began yawning repeatedly. Si Nian told them to hurry up and go to bed.

It was fine for her to stay up late, but she couldn't let the children get into the habit of it.

Now, it was just the two of them.

The living room lights were soft, and a drama was playing on the TV, but neither of them was paying attention to it.

Si Nian leaned against the man's shoulder, looking at their intertwined hands, her heart full.

She ntioned, "Today Fu Qianqian ca to tell that she and Yu Dong might be getting married soon. She was so happy and asked what day would be good, which made think of when we got married."

So she went to look at their marriage certificate and noticed his birthday.

She thought she would take the initiative for once. When they got married, he had taken care of everything. It was her first ti getting married, and Si Nian had been completely clueless and didn't understand anything.

Zhou Yueshen paused slightly, also recalling that ti. The mory was deeply ingrained, as if it were just yesterday.

But thinking about it carefully, several years had already passed.

It turned out they had already been by each other's side for so long.

His grip on Si Nian's hand tightened. "Were you happy back then?"

Si Nian thought about it carefully, a bit uncertain. "I guess I was happy."

It sounded exceptionally forced.

Zhou Yueshen chuckled softly. "It seems I didn't satisfy you enough."

Si Nian glared at him. "You don't even consider how long we had known each other back then. To be honest, I was still a bit bewildered. When we got married, I even wondered what I would do if you turned into a completely different person after marriage."

Zhou Yueshen felt a bit guilty.

"I was too abrupt."

It had been rushed at the ti, mainly because she had already moved over. If he didn't give her a proper title, even as a fiancee, how would outsiders gossip about her living in his house every day without being married?

Si Nian climbed right up the pole he handed her. "Back then, you were aloof, didn't like coming ho, didn't like talking, and only knew how to give money to spend."

Zhou Yueshen had been even busier back then, staying at the pig farm all day working. He would co back late at night and leave early in the morning.

Sotis, the number of sentences they exchanged in a day could be counted on one hand.

Sotis, she wouldn't see him for days.

Recalling it now, Si Nian felt wronged.

Of course, she hadn't felt that way at the ti.

"I'm sorry."

Hearing her say that, Zhou Yueshen also felt he had been quite a jerk.

"But it felt really nice back then. When you kissed , you were always so reckless," Si Nian added with a smile.

They were still in their ambiguous phase back then. Their occasional etings were filled with constant tension and borderline flirtations.

An occasional kiss.

It was enough to make hearts race and faces blush.

Now that they were an old married couple, kissing had beco a routine occurrence.

Zhou Yueshen's Adam's apple bobbed.

His voice lowered a bit. "Is that so? Did Nian Nian like that feeling?"

Si Nian blushed and changed the subject. "I wanted to ask, did you kiss back then because you liked , or because I was pretty?"

She didn't forget to boast about herself.

Zhou Yueshen's eyes held a smile.

"Because I liked you."

Si Nian rarely heard these words from his mouth, and her heart pounded wildly.

Feeling a bit smug again, she said, "So you liked that early on."

Zhou Yueshen looked at her. "What about you?"

"?" Si Nian said in an exaggerated tone. "Just a little bit, only a little bit."

She couldn't let him get too full of himself.

Zhou Yueshen wasn't angry either.

"And now?"

"Now?" Si Nian paused.

She looked up at the man, eting his eyes. The flickering light from the TV reflected in his eyes, breaking into tiny, shimring fragnts.

"What about you?"

Zhou Yueshen's deep eyes gazed down at Si Nian as he said softly, "I love you, Nian Nian. I love you very much."

A smile rose in Si Nian's eyes. She looped her arms around the man's neck, leaning in close to his ear. " too."

Zhou Yueshen, I love you too.

From the very beginning, and from start to finish.

(End of Main Story)

Actually, there is so much everyone wants to read about, like the children growing up, the two of them falling in love... But I realize that these are everyday developnts that have happened many tis. If I really wrote them all, it would be endless, and you would get tired of reading it.

I think their story is already very complete here, and their future won't be bad no matter what. Continuing to write would just be dragging it out with filler (even though it's been pretty filled with fluff before).

Honestly, it's my fault. I rarely write such long stories. Before 300,000 words, this book was at its pri, but after that, it wasn't written as well. From the backend retention data, I know that only about one in a hundred people followed it to the end. The readers who stayed are the motivation that kept writing. Whenever I doubted myself, everyone comforted and gave the courage to continue. However, due to my lack of writing skill, the absence of an outline, and my poor experience, the flaws beca more obvious as the word count grew.

I also feel terrible for not providing a perfectly satisfying ending for everyone. I don't know how to write it to make it the best. I hope everyone can be gentle with their criticism. If there's anything you want to read, you can leave it in the comnts. I can still write 100,000 words of side stories after the main story ends, and I will try my best to make it complete.
