“Yaoyao…”
Just as those two words left his mouth, he had already rushed up to her and asked, “Yaoyao, what’s Wrong?”
Her face was frighteningly pale, and beads of sweat were trickling down her forehead.
There wasn’t much blood on her lips either, so when she heard his voice, she wanted to say something, but she could only force out the word ‘pain’.
“Pain? Where does it hurt?”Lin Jiage asked as he looked at Shi Yao’s abdomen.

“My stomach hurts?”After asking the question, he raised his head and scanned his surroundings. After which, he rushed to her bedside and rummaged through her bag for her identity card. He stuffed it into his pocket before returning to her side. Bending over, he carried her in his arms, he ran out of the hotel room.
“Yaoyao, bear with it. I’ll take you to the hospital right now…”he said as he quickened his pace.
When he entered the elevator, he could feel the girl’s body trembling in his arms.
His arms started to tremble as well. He hugged her tightly as he opened his mouth to speak again. When he finished speaking, he realized that even his voice was trembling, at this moment, his voice was trembling as well, “Yaoyao, don’t be afraid. We’ll be at the hospital soon…”
Even though it was already late at night, it was fortunate that the Hotel Lin Jiage had booked was located in the most bustling area, so there was an empty car on the way out.
After Lin Jiage carried Shi Yao into the car, he hurriedly told the driver, “Hospital.”After which, he lowered his head and softly coaxed the young lady in his arms.
It didn’t take long before they arrived at the hospital. Lin jiage registered himself, and Shi Yao was taken away by the Doctor for a checkup.
The checkup didn’t take too long, but Lin Jiage was still pacing back and forth in the corridor, pletely flustered.
When the doctor came out, Lin Jiage immediately rushed over and asked, “Doctor, how is she?”
“She’s fine. It’s just acute gastroenteritis. I’ve prescribed some medicine for her, and after she’s given an IV, she should be able to go home to rest.”
Lin jiage asked doubtfully, “Are you sure?”? She was already in so much pain that her entire body was trembling and she was sweating profusely. How could she possibly go home to rest later? Do you know how to treat a patient? Which Medical School did you graduate from? What degree did you receive? Do you have a diploma? Where’s your director? Tell your director to e over…”
The Doctor Shot Lin jiage a sidelong glance, “Either you stay here and watch over her, or I’ll call security to send you away!”
Lin Jiage’s mouth fell open, but in the end, he still admitted his defeat and went to the ward.
Shi Yao had already started the drip.
Perhaps it was still a little painful, but her body curled up into a ball on the bed.
Lin Jiage sat beside her, not leaving her side at all. Every once in a while, he would ask her if she was still in pain?
In the end, perhaps it was due to the effects of the drip, but Shi Yao fell asleep.
By the time the IV was done and the nurse came to remove the IV, she had woken up Shi Yao.
Lin Jiage glared at the nurse as she left the ward before carrying Shi Yao out of the hospital with a sullen expression on his face.
Acute gastroenteritis came and went quickly. After the IV, other than feeling a little exhausted, Shi Yao was no longer in so much pain. She wanted to leave on her own, but Lin Jiage refused to let her go, so she didn’t argue with him, without much strength to argue with him, she simply allowed him to carry her into the taxi.
On the way back to the hotel, Shi Yao finally noticed the strong smell of alcohol on Lin Jiage’s body.
Frowning, she lifted her head, which was resting on his chest, and asked, “Have you been drinking?”
Lin jiage replied with an “En”. Just as Shi Yao was about to ask him why he was drinking, she realized that he was only wearing a single shoe.
