After hanging up the phone, Ling Chen sat in the chairman’s office, swiveling in his chair, gazing out at Beijing through the glass, his brow slightly furrowed into a line.

In a flash of thought, there was a knock at the office door. "Co in," Ling Chen said, and as his voice sounded, the door was pushed open from the outside. Imdiately after, Jiang Yunkai strode in.
"Chen."
Ling Chen pointed to the chair beside his desk and said, "Kai, have a seat. So, any findings?"
"I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed. I went to the Zhu Family today with so people and had a chat with Zhu Qianshan. At first, he adamantly denied having t Zhu Hong. It wasn’t until I threatened him, saying that Zhu Hong is an A-level wanted criminal and that he had committed a serious cri by helping Zhu Hong escape from East Sea City to Beijing. Ling Chen lightly coughed and said with a smile, "Dad, Uncle Ling, we’re family, there’s no need for such formalities. Ancestor, right?" Ling Chen initially wanted to call him brother but quickly corrected himself to address him as ancestor, to avoid getting reprimanded by Ling Kun later.
"The brat is right, we’re all family, sit down, don’t stand."
After Ling Gengqiu spoke, Ling Kun and Ling Tao sat down respectfully, asking with concern, "Ancestor, are you comfortable staying at Ling Chen’s place?"
"Quite good," replied Ling Gengqiu with a grin, "the brat is very filial to , you all should learn from him."
Upon hearing the word ’filial,’ Ling Chen rubbed his nose, keeping his head down, not daring to look at Ling Kun. If Ling Kun knew that his way of showing filial piety was taking the ancestor out for fun, his buttocks would probably be swollen from a beating.
