"You’re in Beijing?"
"Yeah, arrived last night. Hongyu United Investnt Company has an important eting to host. As the chairman, I must lead it."
"Today’s eting?"
"Tomorrow morning, today so materials need preparation. Why? Are you busy?"
"It’s not that." Ling Chen felt a stir in his heart, saying, "I’m heading ho for a family gathering now. Would you like to co with ? After lunch, I can take you back. How does that sound?"
"A family gathering..." Nanrong Wanqing murmured on the other end of the phone, her tone carrying a hint of hesitation.

At this ti, Nanrong Wanqing, having hung up the phone, suddenly stood up, startling the secretary beside her, who quickly asked, "Chairman, what’s wrong?"

Nanrong Wanqing took a deep breath, turned, and walked into the office’s private lounge, where she took out a makeup box she hadn’t used in a long ti from the drawer and ticulously began to dress up in front of the mirror. She wasn’t unfamiliar with eting Ling Chen’s parents, but as Ling Chen just said over the phone, this was a family gathering. She knew very well what kind of occasion a family gathering was and understood clearly what it ant for Ling Chen to invite her.

"No worries, being able to invite you to the gathering makes even waiting two more hours worth it." Ling Chen couldn’t help but praise, "You look stunning today."
Nanrong Wanqing smiled charmingly, as though every flower blood at that mont, her beauty beyond comparison.
"So, apart from today, am I not beautiful at other tis?"
"Of course not." Ling Chen imdiately corrected himself, "You are always the most beautiful, just today particularly so."
"Really?" Nanrong Wanqing slightly raised her mouth, with a sweet smile. Sotis, a woman’s happiness is simple, like a man’s complint. Of course, it’s better if the man is soone she cares about.
"Let’s get in the car." Ling Chen opened the car door, welcoming Nanrong Wanqing inside, then drove away amidst the envious gazes of onlookers.
Their luck today was good, having avoided peak traffic hours; there were not many cars on the road. After driving for over twenty minutes, Ling Chen and Nanrong Wanqing finally arrived at the Ling Family residence. Seeing dozens of luxury cars parked at the entrance, Ling Chen couldn’t help but sigh; the Ling Family mbers really were wealthy, any car here casually valued in the millions. After parking, as Ling Chen and Nanrong Wanqing got out of the car, they saw a fiery red Ferrari speeding towards them. Not slowing down, it headed straight for Ling Chen’s direction. Seeing the Ferrari charging forward, Nanrong Wanqing was shocked and stood there motionless, forgetting even to move. Seeing this situation, Ling Chen’s expression changed slightly, worried that sothing might happen to Nanrong Wanqing, he hurriedly rushed over, grabbed her arm, and pulled her aside, shielding her behind him.
What a close call! Ling Chen breathed a sigh of relief, grateful for his quick reaction in pulling Nanrong Wanqing away just in ti; otherwise, it nearly ended in disaster.
