Chu Liyuan got out of the car and slowly walked toward the restaurant, feeling as if the ground trembled with his every step.
"Wele," they were greeted enthusiastically in Japanese by the restaurant staff as soon as they entered.
Upon entering, Chu Liyuan said nothing, but his cold gaze swept across the restaurant.
Wang Qi immediately understood and waved to the people behind him, and they began to clear the room.
"What are you doing?" the restaurant staff asked, trying to stop them.
But they didn’t care at all and continued clearing out the place.
"Please stop immediately, I am the manager of this restaurant. If there’s a problem, you can talk to me."
"Talk to you? You think you’re worthy? Open your dog eyes and look, who’s standing here!" a man pointed to Wang Qi behind him.
The server didn’t recognize Wang Qi, but how could the manager of a restaurant of this level not recognize Wang Qi?
Upon seeing Wang Qi, the manager’s initially firm attitude instantly softened, "Mr. Wang, it’s an honor to have you here, why didn’t you inform us in advance? That way I could have arranged things beforehand!"
The server who just tried to stop them saw how respectfully the manager was behaving and realized the status of the people before him was not something he could afford to provoke, so he discreetly retreated to a particularly inconspicuous spot.
The room was cleared out quickly.
"Mr. Wang, what would you and your friends like to eat?"
"Chu Liyuan~" Wang Qi turned his gaze towards Chu Liyuan.
Chu Liyuan pulled up a chair and sat down, "Speak!"
"Speak? This... Mr. Wang, what does your friend mean?" the manager didn’t recognize Chu Liyuan.
"Talk about the dirty tricks in your restaurant!" said Wang Qi coldly.
"Dirty tricks? What are you referring to?" the manager responded with a forced smile.
"Smash~" Chu Liyuan coldly uttered the word.
"What do you mean by that?" asked the manager curiously.
"Don’t you understand? If you don’t start talking, I really can’t guarantee what your restaurant will look like soon!" Wang Qi shrugged.
"But you have to tell me what you want me to say, right?"
"You really won’t shed a tear until you see the coffin, huh! Take a good look for yourself!" Wang Qi laid out the evidence gathered on the way in front of the manager, whose face instantly changed.
The manager’s reaction alone was enough to confirm the authenticity of the materials.
After a while, the manager regained his posure, "Mr. Wang, I have tremendous respect for you, but that doesn’t mean I am afraid of you. I’m sure you’re well aware of the powerful backing behind this restaurant. It’s sometimes better to feign ignorance!"
After hearing the manager’s words, Chu Liyuan stood up without a word and threw the chair he was sitting on...
With a loud crash, the most conspicuous crystal screen in the restaurant shattered into pieces.
"Mr. Wang, I have given you ample respect, but with your friend acting like this, I’m afraid today’s issues won’t be easily settled," the manager said, heartbroken as he watched the smashed crystal screen.
Putting aside its cost, the screen was a symbol of the restaurant; by breaking it, they were slapping the restaurant in the face.
Though the scene was chaotic, Chu Liyuan still noticed a small figure in a corner, "You~ e here," he pointed at her and spoke.
"Me?" the small-framed girl pointed at herself in surprise.
"Yes! e here!"
Trembling, the girl moved closer.
Seeing the girl trembling in fear, Chu Liyuan said, "Don’t be afraid. Just answer whatever I ask, and as long as you tell the truth, I guarantee you won’t get hurt."
The girl nodded, scared.
