Li Jing recoiled instantaneously, "Mr. Chu, why be like this? I was just expressing how I feel at this moment."
"I don’t have such hobbies!" He said as he walked into his office.
Li Jing immediately followed him, "Mr. Chu, how e you didn’t give us a heads-up before ing back early?"
"You have a problem with that?"
"No, not at all! I am too happy to even care! Being acting president is not for humans!" Li Jing blurted out his inner thoughts unintentionally.
Seeing Chu Liyuan’s face darken, the survival instinct in Li Jing kicked in as he hurriedly explained, "Mr. Chu, you are not like us mere mortals; you live at the top of the pyramid, at the pinnacle of the food chain!"

Upon hearing his bonus would be doubled, Li Jing cried tears of relief, his hardships were not in vain!

Li Jing fled Chu Liyuan’s office as if escaping. Chu Liyuan watched the closed door, "Should I consider giving Li Jing a raise next month?"
Just as Li Jing got back to his own office, he received a call from the HR manager, informing him that Mr. Chu had decided to give him a raise.
He hadn’t even warmed his seat before he stood up and headed straight to Mr. Chu’s office...
