"Instructor Shang, don’t be afraid, okay? I just have a few questions I want to ask you."
"What is it?" Shang looked at Jian Dan with a guarded expression.
Jian Dan walked back into the office. After taking only a few steps—still some distance away from Shang’s desk—he immediately told her to stop, "Just stay right there and speak."
"What, are you afraid I’ll eat you or something?"
"I wouldn’t rule that out."
"Tch~ I’m not someone who eats just anything, you know. With my refined taste, my mouth is pretty picky!"
Shang rolled his eyes at Jian Dan, clearly picking up on the hidden meaning in her words.
"Alright, alright. I actually came to ask you about you and Xiao Ting..."

"You asked so many questions at once. How am I supposed to answer?"
"One at a time, of course!"

"Am I your prisoner now?"

Truthfully, Jian Dan could’ve just asked Xiao Ting, but considering Xiao Ting’s current emotional state, she decided it would be better to ask Shang instead.
"Xiao Ting and I started dating three months after she arrived at the base. As for how long it’s been, you do the math yourself. The person I mentioned last time was indeed Xiao Ting. I like her very much. Before meeting her, I never even thought about marriage, but after meeting her, it feels like marriage could actually be a great thing!"

As Jian Dan was opening the door to leave, Shang suddenly said, "Jian, take care of Xiao Ting for me. She doesn’t want to see me recently."

By the way, I’m going to stay in the old room again, okay? I want Xiao Ting to stay with me. You don’t have any objections, right?"

Jian Dan smiled without answering, turned around, and left Shang’s office...

Although Xiao Ting didn’t know what Jian Dan was intending, she still did as Jian Dan said.
Jian Dan acpanied Xiao Ting back to the dorm to pack. When the two of them entered the dorm room, everyone’s eyes turned to them, and they began muttering some unpleasant ments.
"Xiao Ting, go pack your things," Jian Dan said, giving Xiao Ting a slight push on the back.
"Oh!" Xiao Ting was already used to this kind of treatment from them, so she didn’t take it to heart.
