Xia Siyu originally thought that honeymooning with Bo Yan would be all sweet and romantic.
Turns out, this guy just passed out the mont they arrived. Maybe it’s because he’s been running on overdrive lately, working nonstop. When working, he forces himself to stay sharp and focused. But as soon as he got a break, he crashed completely.
After checking in that afternoon, Xia Siyu and Bo Yan slept straight through until the dead of night. By the ti they woke up, the stars were glittering across the sky, and the eternal waves kept washing onto the beach. The humid sea breeze had a familiar vibe, much like Sicily.
Maybe it was this sense of familiarity, or perhaps the comfort of having Bo Yan by her side, but she had slept deeply and peacefully.
But waking up at two in the morning ca with one annoying problem.
She was starving.
At two in the morning, the hotel’s chef was long off duty, resting. They were on an island—if they were in the city, she could’ve ordered so midnight snacks. But here, after rummaging through everything available, there were only drinks to be found. In resorts like this, aside from the pricey alcohol, things like beer and cola were free for anyone to take.
As for food, after searching for ages, all she could find were so complintary candies the hotel provided, welco fruits, a few biscuits—and instant noodles.
At first, Xia Siyu agonized over her choices. She started with the fruit, but she hadn’t eaten anything since lunch. The fruit was pineapple—its tartness only made her hungrier as her appetite grew with every bite. After popping two pieces of candy, she realized that while candy was high in calories, it didn’t fill her up.
So her eyes drifted back to the instant noodles.
If biscuits were already high in calories, she might as well go for the noodles. But eating instant noodles at three in the morning felt a little sinful, especially since she’s a celebrity. Xia Siyu hesitated to take the plunge.
Bo Yan noticed her longing gaze—and how she kept sneaking glances at the noodle box, gulping down her own saliva before quickly averting her eyes. Two seconds later, she’d steal another glimpse, then shake her head in self-restraint.
Bo Yan knew she was hungry and decided to tease her: "Wanna eat so instant noodles?"
Xia Siyu instantly opened her eyes wide and exclaid dramatically, "Do you even know how late it is? Instant noodles at this hour? Do you know how many calories instant noodles have? Just a 100-gram packet contains 500 calories—you’d need to walk 20,000 steps to burn that off! Never mind dayti—but eating it in the middle of the night? All those calories will just stay on !"
Bo Yan remained calm. "So what? After you eat, we can just do so exercise."
Xia Siyu looked at him in shock. "How long would we need to exercise to burn it off?!"
Bo Yan chuckled. "Well, it can’t be helped. For my wife’s weight-loss journey, I have to put in extra effort. So, do you want it? If you want noodles, I’ll go boil so water now."
Xia Siyu imdiately shook her head furiously, like a rattle drum. "No way, I’m not eating it!"
She even pinched her own waist. "Look, there’s already soft flab here." Bo Yan reached over and felt it—there wasn’t any at all. Lately, she’d been either filming action scenes or practicing dance moves, and her abs were sleek and toned, impossible to grip.
Xia Siyu was a foodie, but she balked at the thought of instant noodles. If they’d had barbecue skewers instead, she would’ve already devoured them.
Bo Yan grinned, "It’s fine. Go ahead and eat; I don’t mind it."
"You might not mind, but I mind!" Xia Siyu shook her head vehently.
"You really don’t want to eat?" Bo Yan probed again.
"I really don’t!"
"Alright then." Bo Yan got up. "I’ll just make my own instant noodles."
