By the ti they got to their seats, it was already 7:55. She sat right in the middle of the first row, able to see every performance on stage most directly.
To clearly see the performances, she specifically wore her glasses. Watching a play is different from watching a movie; it’s sowhat like a concert, the closer you sit, the clearer you see. She arrived, and Han Yifan also arrived. Anyway, they had already gone public, so they didn’t care what others said. Han Yifan may not be good at much else, but he’s excellent at being eager to please. This rich young master has the deanor of a loyal dog, which greatly comforts the fans. While fans wish their big sister to pursue her career and shine alone, they don’t oppose if she can have a boyfriend with a worthy family background, good character, and appearance who is also a loyal dog.
As for the Han family’s objections, as it hasn’t reached the point of discussing marriage yet, and since Shang Feifei’s image and status are currently great, there isn’t a high wave of opposition. The Han family is too lazy to manage this rebellious youngest son, just taking one step at a ti.
Typically, the first two or three rows of a theater are reserved tickets, not for sale. However, the only difference this ti is that normally these tickets would be given to family mbers; for this performance, the first row was filled with big nas. To soone unaware, they might think the Golden Phoenix Awards ceremony had been moved to the play venue.
After being reprimanded, the fans who entered could only follow the rules, waiting quietly in their seats.
The play was about to start as the lights dimd, and the curtains on the stage faintly opened. Through the shadows, one could see a sowhat luxuriously arranged "ho", with soone seemingly lying on the leather sofa.
Then, there were a few "dong dong dong" sounds, like the peal of a bell, resonating within the theater, drawing nearer and nearer.
Afterwards, the stage lights ca on, a beam of light illuminating the graceful and languid figure lying on the sofa.
Xia Siyu — Chen Bailu, made her entrance.
She was tall and curvaceous, wearing a cheongsam, and her body was specially trained, so even in languor, she was very graceful. As she spoke, that lodious, slightly husky and clear voice seed to transport people back to the bygone era.
With the first word, the first motion, the first expression, the image was initially established. After such establishnt, other characters started to appear, and Bo Yan entered. In the play, he is always a positive character wanting to pull the female lead out of this mire. But he is insignificant; besides a belly full of ambitions, he has nothing, forced to watch helplessly as the female lead and her adopted little girl are swallowed by darkness.
In this play, the male and female leads had separated long ago, and when eting again, they were at most just friends. However, when these two stood together, there was a strong undercurrent of tension. It’s often said that once they beco lovers or husband and wife, such undefined, ambiguous tension before their relationship becos clear is difficult to portray. After all, the body language between lovers is different from that which is more than friendship yet less than lovers.
But considering Xia Siyu and Bo Yan are professionals, since they can’t avoid it, they just chose not to make contact. Turning away, looking back, serving tea, placing snacks.
There was no physical contact whatsoever, and their words and actions were as restrained as possible. This also aligned with how, in the storyline, the two clearly had feelings for each other but couldn’t be together due to reality, rational, sober, restrained.
Even though it’s a one-act play, the plot progressed rather quickly, and unknowingly, over two hours had passed.
Because it was a one-act play, the audience didn’t have a break, yet surprisingly, they didn’t feel bored.
