Bo Yan was stunned for a mont and really stepped aside. Xia Siyu, carrying a cup of water, ca out and after taking a couple of steps, stopped, turned around, and glared at Bo Yan: "Don’t co in!"
Bo Yan responded with an "oh," and Xia Siyu, after pouring the water, walked back to the room with the cup, slamming the door shut right in front of Bo Yan.
It was obvious; she was still angry and hadn’t forgiven him. Bo Yan touched his nose and didn’t bother to explain any further. He knew Xia Siyu seed unreasonable, but she actually understood everything clearly. They both knew the challenges at work, though neither had expressed it, but it’s clear in their minds. They should be able to figure it out soon—right?
Bo Yan eventually returned to the guest room. He realized that ever since things got better between them, neither had stayed there again. He used to be accustod to staying there and never found it inadequate. Yet strangely, without Xia Siyu nearby, the room felt like a lifeless snow cave, missing a sense of vitality.
Yet he didn’t have much ti for lancholy; in a couple of days, the shoot would start, and he had lots to prepare. The first chunk of funds was in place, and he began setting up the stage and arranging the set. Most of the scenes would be fild in a single room, so he had to do it ticulously.
There was a bathroom in the guest room, along with so everyday items from Bo Yan’s previous stays. He changed into pajamas, showered, handled so work, and turned off the lights to sleep.
Even though the lights were out, he still held onto hope about Xia Siyu; the door wasn’t locked, a slight push and she could co in.
"Good night." Although Xia Siyu couldn’t hear, he was in the habit of saying it, and then he tucked himself under the covers.
Indeed, Xia Siyu was usually soone who fell asleep fast, but tonight, she drank a lot, partied hard, and soaked in the tub, which should’ve left her quite tired. Her head hurt too; under normal circumstances, she should’ve been asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow, yet sohow, she was wide awake with insomnia.
She tossed and turned, the more she tried to sleep, the more awake she beca. In the end, in frustration, she jumped up and kicked the covers off, pacing barefoot around the bed: "Damn it, I’m so pissed!"
Deep down the frustration only intensified, she was not soone to swallow grievances. Since she couldn’t sleep, she decided to make sure soone else couldn’t as well. She grabbed a pillow, ready to demand an explanation, first checking the living room and finding the sofa empty, she then turned to the guest room and without a second thought, launched the pillow at the figure on the bed: "Bo Yan, how dare you sleep? Get up!"
Bo Yan was a light sleeper, and after being hit twice, he was wide awake. He wasn’t angry, instead, he simply pulled Xia Siyu over to his side.
Xia Siyu fell, surprised by his slyness, feeling utterly humiliated! She swung her hand a couple more tis, landing a few hits on Bo Yan’s face. Bo Yan didn’t get angry and continued to hold her tightly until she was done, then he let out a sigh: "I’m sorry."
"You actually realize you’re wrong? What’s this ’sorry’ about, tell ?"
Bo Yan said: "As a husband not spending money on his wife, and even deducting her pay, I was wrong."
"Is it just about the paycheck? What really angers is, this is business, before handling business publicly, couldn’t you just talk to first?" Cooperation is cooperation; they haven’t registered a joint company. Doing things as they see fit is expected, but if they’re business partners, shouldn’t they inform her about undercutting prices at the negotiation table, so she’s sowhat prepared?
