Outside the set, the tension was high, but it remained harmonious on set. During the auditions, Li Yiru had already been dieting and adjusting her figure for a while. Since the film “Sunrise” was being shot, the natural choice was qipao dresses. Frankly, qipaos are well suited for figures like hers and Xia Siyu’s – a bit fuller, with curves that make the dress pop. For the auditions, they certainly weren’t selecting clothes that fit perfectly, but her success in the auditions secured her role.
This ti, qipaos were laid out for all the lead actors to try on.
Bo Yan was fine; for n, aside from a few long gowns and Zhongshan suits, it’s mostly Western suits – the focus was mainly on the actresses. Li Yiru ca out first, with an ill-fitting hairstyle, using a wig. Once she changed clothes, she was dazzling, no need to say more.
Li Yiru, despite everything, was a star, having overshadowed Xia Siyu; her beauty was obvious, and her figure was great too. At the mont Xia Siyu appeared, all of Li Yiru’s earlier daze shattered instantly!
