An hour flew by, and Xia Siyu never expected that she would actually sit through a health knowledge class.
It was entertaining and educational, really quite comprehensive. She turned to Bo Yan and asked, "Are these people really couples? Are they really doing it on cara???"
As for herself, although she’s been in the industry for eight years and has previously done boat scenes with Bo Yan, those were different from reality. At least their clothes were intact, and the shoot was more about capturing a feeling, an atmosphere.
Even though this docuntary wasn’t fild in such detail, just posing without requiring people to finish, still, to be honest, it felt rather strange.
"Usually they recruit actors. But they will pre-screen them. After all, it’s a science channel, can’t go too over-the-top," Bo Yan explained. He had been an exchange student in North Arica, and during his ti in college, posts about such recruitnt were common on the school BBS. Sotis it was for testing the effects of fats and sugars on the body over two weeks, sotis it was testing different drinking thods’ harmful effects on the human body. These types of physiological tests were rare, and few Asians applied.
Xia Siyu listened eagerly, "So after learning the theory, are we supposed to put it into practice? Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth!"
Bo Yan calmly shook his head, "It’s just one class, what have we learned? There are still three more classes, and after all four, there’ll be informational segnts about related historical and cultural knowledge. You ntioned not being able to develop a good story, right? No problem, we’ll learn more, watch more. If China’s stories aren’t enough, we’ll use international ones, there’s bound to be one that suits you. It’s late now, let’s rest first."
He switched off his phone, and the room returned to darkness. Xia Siyu tossed and turned restlessly. Bo Yan reached over and wrapped his arm around her shoulder: "Go to sleep, we need to get up early tomorrow, and there are two visitors coming over."
He didn’t feel much about Shang Feifei visiting; after all, she’s just an actor dropping by. But Wang Ju was a different story. After all, he’s a director renowned as Yu Fenfei’s equal, and picking up a trick or two from him would be worthwhile. Even a piece of advice would be quite beneficial. Because of this, Bo Yan had specifically postponed his scene for tomorrow to learn from Wang Ju’s guidance and let Xia Siyu act alongside other actors.
Since it’s his first ti directing, accepting guidance from Wang Ju, he needed to be alert.
"Oh, don’t let Shang Feifei go to waste either. Having co all the way to see shooting the film, we’ll take care of her als and accommodation, and let her watch for free. She should contribute sothing. Let her guest star!" Although Bo Yan initially planned to cut Xia Siyu’s pay on behalf of the crew, she was particularly displeased. But now stepping into the crew’s shoes, she began to slyly plot against Shang Feifei too.
So the next morning, Bo Yan and Xia Siyu were up early, before six, getting ready to head to the set, dress, and apply makeup. Unexpectedly, Wang Ju and Shang Feifei woke up early too, and the group set out for the set in high spirits.
During makeup, Xia Siyu was reviewing the script. Breakfast arrived, and everyone ate while discussing the script. Soon Xia Siyu finished her makeup, and joined the breakfast and script discussion army. The first scene in the morning was her playing opposite Li Yiru, who also aid to perform well, offering continuous input while discussing their scenes.
